Green mosquito but me last night and now my arm is swollen up bigger than a golf ball where it bit me...Never had this happen before, not this bad...making me wonder if it was one of those GMO skeeters or something else they cooked up in a lab π©

I seem to recall something about using mosquitos for vaccination some time ago, and I swear for similar purposes even longer ago.
But you probably had an allergic reaction. Try Benadryl first?
will get some in the morning to try! I just never had a reaction like this to mosquitoes...crazy!
Suggestion. Also standard disclaimer: not a doctor.
Get some ivermectin.
Take that stuff immediately and keep it up.
If it's put parasites inside you then that should kill them.
Theoretically.
Also, I heard a rumor that if a mosquito bites you and you are full of ivermectin, the mosquito dies.
Anyway, parasites have to be killed in stages.
Edit to add: MMS might help, too.
This anon tried using Ivermectin as an ointment for poison ivy:

poison ivy too?! wow!! Will definitely remember this when my son comes back inside covered in it next time!
well I had actually taken a dose of Ivermectin earlier that day before getting bit, and he definitely died, but because I had hit him as a reaction...so it probably would've killed him anyway π I will have to look up MMS, never heard of that before..
Please don't recommend Benadryl. There are better alternatives
any recommendations? I never did like benadryl, just the weird feeling it gave me the couple of times I did try it...would love to know some alternatives for that
Yea I've had some bad mental states after Benadryl. Well that swollen ball in your arm could be an allergic reaction. Either way if it's inflammation I'd have my local clinic doc take a look. Maybe consider applying anti-inflammatory cream of some sort.
"Quercetin is an antihistamine present in foods like onions, garlic, broccoli, apples, berries, and leafy greens (2). These healthy foods are probably already included in your diet, but you might want to increase your intake when you're suffering from seasonal allergies. You can also try a concentrated supplement."
I would consider taking extra ^
I use Bio Quercetin from lef but there's plenty of choices.
Maybe it is one of Bill Gates's genetically-altered mosquitoes that he has been releasing since at least 2017.
Here's just one article about it:
This factory breeds 30 million mosquitoes per week. Hereβs why.

that was my first thought...and we've all learned that when an elite member says it's safe, then that means we're fkd π©
I know I'm probably wrong, but ridiculous that in today's world this is where my train of thoughts run...
People can display different sensitivities to different types of mosquitos.
You can stack Benedryl and Claritin. If I have really bad allergies I take Benadryl but that stuff can put me in a coma. So I keep taking claritin which will let me time my doses better while suppressing allergies to some extent. You might also do better with the cream than the pill.
Also take an anti inflammatory like Tylenol, ibuprofen or alieve.
It should start shrinking ina couple of days.
Benadryl is coma inducing. When I was a teenager, I had a seizure. No memory, but I woke up in the ER and they ran all kinds of tests. CT scan required a dye contrast that was done through an IV. The tech told me some people have an allergic reaction to the dye, but that could have Benadryl if there was a problem. I was upset and I knew it would probably calm me down so I told the tech to just go ahead. I watched them inject it into the IV. I have NEVER had Benadryl work that fast. It was like going from 60 mph to zero in the space of 10 seconds.
Anyone else here never been bitten by a mosquito in their life? My wife gets eaten. I've never once been bitten. Weird?
Thanks for that
Yep, O type and a big magnet. Apis 200 for swelling and itching.
I will get destroyed by them and my SO goes unphased by them...I think they like my blood or something, type maybe π€
We're you raised around mosquitoes or in the city?
I know city people have terrible reactions sometimes, were locals don't even notice them.....
I live around literal swamps in deep south Louisiana and grew up hunting with my dad in the woods and marsh...definitely a new thing to swell up like this.
That is very strange then. Are you sure it was a mosquito and not some other flying critter?
definitely. I felt the bite, and did the usual hit to kill and fling to the ground...noticed he was green and not the usual mosquito we see around here...disappointed that I couldn't find it to inspect it better.
I've seen the green ones before in upper michigan.
I can't help you with that one.
But there's a new mosquito repellent on the market that I have been dying to get my hands on:

It looks damn effective!
Look into homeopathy instead of OTC drugs. Ledum and Apis at natural food stores, PureFormulas.com, BoironUSA.com. interestingly, most countries use homeopathy, the USA quashed it with the creation of the AMA. Also, US and NZ are the only countries that allow pharma ads on tv, IIRC. https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/mosquito-bites-let-homeopathy-and-essential-oils-help/?amp=1
Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) could work as an anti-inflammatory agent through its antioxidant capacity.
Get some horse paste.
Update: swelling is gone and all is well as far as the bite site goes, but ever since the bite, I've been coughing up and blowing out bright yellow and green mucus...could be coincidence, still taking more paste today to rid it all out...
