We know that every single system needs to be completely taken down so we can start over in a good way and the entertainment industry is definitely one of those systems. I'm so sick of all the shit shows on TV, we simply don't watch it anymore. I haven't been to a theater in years (except to see the latest Top Gun) and I would NEVER watch late night TV. Bring it down - the sooner the better.
Ten Days of Darkness. Makes me wonder when Q and the boys kick off their retake of America will the people who make the news, writers, directors, on air personalities, have a job to go back to? When the networks come back on the air, how will the news shows change?
I bartended in Boston and Cheers brunch was 100% my thing. People loved coming in for eggs and seeing old school Boston, before the big dig and the landscape completely changed.
My mom LOVED that show when I was younger. They renovated house so when my Dad worked on the electrical my Mom would wake us up and say “it’s a little house on the prairie kind of day!” and it was all cooking on charcoal outside and playing outside, making crafts or reading. Card game by candle lights at night even if the power could come back on. Which may not sound like much but we lived in a big city and everyone else has power buzzing. I thank her for it now and she does the same practices with my nephew. Now I know it’s because she was prepping us for if the power ever goes out and stays out. We won’t be the first to lose our minds when we lose technology.
Hollywood as an industry induced its own terminal illness when they went super woke, then it checked itself into hospice care during covid. Right now we're watching draw its last breaths on a ventilator.
i watched a video where a woman said that all new shows starting 2024 will be "inclusive". so we better get used to watching reruns or turn cable off altogether.
This strike will not end well. The FACT that AI is now in play for the shows and writers can be done away with is a hard sticking point. If they writers win, they will have to make some hard concessions, like having AI become writers. I feel this strike will continue for a while and the show owners will dig in their heels. Gotta keep feeding the beast, but who will they sell their shows too? Television late night talk shows are nearing their end. AI will take over and write the shows, so the writers will be pounding sand unless they stay unified until they loose their careers. Which they will do.
Father Knows Best on youtube. Instead of fox clips and BC Slots. Brian Christopher made an announcement on his slot show stating that Transgenders are getting hate for no reason and his loving followers need to fully accept them. He said they were born that way.
Fire the striking wokesters and hire REAL writers who know what entertainment is.
Fun fact: That's how we got Star Trek TNG's most important episode, "The Measure of a Man." The writers' strike of 1988 was happening during the second season, so they hired an actual lawyer, Melinda Snodgrass, to write an episode.
There was a time, when all entertainment was local. Or maybe a traveling company of actors and musicians. Television has not been a good fit for the human race. Too much influential power in the hands of a small group of men. I unplugged 25 years ago, and I've never looked back. They still print books, you know.
Wait until the actors realize AI coupled with deepfakes will replace them also. Look at the amount of cartoon or animated commercials popping up. That's not accidental - they don't want to pay actors either.

Find myself rewatching old shows, Monk, 3rd rock from the sun, Seinfeld have been rewatched recently. I need to laugh, clearly.
Cheers has been my medicine for a long time. I take two episodes at bedtime and get the best nights sleep of my life on a My Pillow pillow.
Ten Days of Darkness. Makes me wonder when Q and the boys kick off their retake of America will the people who make the news, writers, directors, on air personalities, have a job to go back to? When the networks come back on the air, how will the news shows change?
It won't happen, you're a copium addict.

Little house on the prairie kick for me at the moment.

Thats a valuable skill to have. God bless your mom for giving you those memories.
I am watching John Wayne movies !
Now we’re talkin’.
Gunsmoke perry mason outer limits
sorry but Perry Mason was a Queen.
Great in mason and original godzilla
As an autistic, Monk is one of my favorite shows of all time.
Tony Shalhoub absolutely nailed the quirks of this condition--I recognized so many of my own in the character, though exaggerated.
That show turned him into one of my favorite actors. Wonderful series, and ended at just the right time.
You are right, the old shows would be worth watching.....we just don't have access to them. I loved 3rd rock from the sun.
Grit channel is over the air.

funny
Gosh I hope you are right.

Keep striking, proles. we love it!

It's difficult to watch Brian when his mouth herpes is acting up. Not an ounce of testosterone in that femboy.
Good.

good!!! i hope it takes down the whole diseased temple.
Good. I hope the strike is permanent.
My bet is AI will replace them within a year or two.

It's not a writers strike causing it that's for sure
