She acts like she didn’t do anything wrong and sounds like a broken record… “I need my phone” over and over, like she can’t function without her phone. Kids these days don’t know how to function without their phones & TikTok.
As a teacher, if a student ever physically assaulted me I would go straight to the police department and file charges against the student and their parent. Regardless of what measures the administration might take, this type of assault should be dealt with the same as it would be outside of the classroom in society. It is high time that children learn that their actions have serious repercussions and consequences.
I've actually begun training myself out of classroom teaching and into curriculum design because of a rise in incidents and happenings like this. It will get worse before it gets better. I don't want to leave education entirely, as I still believe that it is what I am meant to be doing with my life, and because I believe post Great Awakening we are going to need high quality teachers and scholars to help get humanity back on track.
My daughter in law is a principal at Texas junior high - she was recently offered a position ( less pay) as administrator of district issues ( as seen in video )— big nope cause hers is a rural based small town school and she is well loved/ respected
I’m a teacher in TN and phones will be the reason I quit. We are able to confiscate, but are financially liable for the phone. This year I had this conversation with my admin, about making them all put their phone in a box and locking it during class and that’s what they told me. They are ADDICTED. We would not put up with them smoking crack in class, but this is just as destructive and disruptive. That being said, my husband teaches at a school 10 minutes down the road and they do not have this problem at all. Respect for authority and behavior are cultural aspects that build, or destroy, a community.
Students and their parents sign a Student Handbook at the beginning of each year (at least where I'm from).
Its less an issue of the confiscation, and more an issue of whether the student or their parent wish to risk suspension and possible expulsion for refusal to cooperate with and adhere to the rules set forth in the handbook.
Most school handbooks are quite clear about the use of electronic devices in the classroom, and of the teacher's authority to confiscate said items in the classroom. If students disobey these rules, they are nullifying the contract between the school and the student / parent.
The argument of "its the students property" does not fly in a classroom environment. Students are there to learn, not to tweet, film the classroom, post to tik tok, etc. It becomes a safety concern at that point. There are students who are not allowed to be filmed on school grounds per the FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) guidelines. Students who bring their phones to class are violating the rights of other students not to be put on camera on school grounds.
This is why we have students who are behaving like goblins in the classroom. Their actions are defended and justified by people who do not understand the field of education. Parents refuse to discipline their children, and teachers / admin have their hands tied on the matter now as well. The students understand this dynamic, and believe they have the right to disregard and ignore the authority of the teacher or educator in the classroom.
The result is that no learning is permitted to occur in our nation's schools because there is always an excuse for why children are behaving like animals. The end result is our nation in perpetual decline while counties like Russia and China are producing students who are capable of calculus and trigonometry while our students can't even manage to tie their shoes.
The other issue is that students are forced into "education" and so was the student forced or coerced into the agreement. Is she truly there voluntarily? And of course, her age plays into it too is she 18?
I do agree that there should be other avenues for education beyond the classroom. Our education system is totally broken on all levels, and there absolutely should be an avenue to have children engage in a trade or an internship / apprentice if they do not desire a classroom structure.
At a fundamental level though, our children absolutely must be given structure and must be taught to respect authority figures and adults in their lives. We are raising a generation of students who believe it is appropriate to tell a police officer to "fuck off, " leading to incidents of unnecessary arrests, resisting arrests, and jail time for what should have been a simple traffic ticket. These behaviors start at a young age, and develop into destructive personalities that follow these children into adult hood.
Much must change post Great Awakening, and the first thing that we need to bring back is respect and honor for adults, parents, and authority figures within a community. Children should not be encouraged to disrespect others.
You should be able to tell a cop to fuck off or say "fuck you" without any repercussions.
Its a slippery slope into anarchy if taken too far.
I agree that freedom of speech should be protected to a point, but we should not be encouraging our children to grow up to be dicks to everyone they meet simply because they can. As the saying goes . . . With great power comes great responsibility. With rights, come the responsibility to exercise those rights appropriately.
As a teacher, I don't tolerate kids swearing at me in the classroom. I send their asses straight home if the conversation comes to that.
We've been led by the Cabal and Deep State into an unhealthy place as a nation where authority is seen as an immediate confrontation, and the immediate instinct is rebellion. A rebel spirit can be a force of great good, but to treat parents, teachers, police officers, fire fighters, and other community members with absolute contempt and distain and with no semblance of respect or honor for their position is to be encouraging the decline of our nation.
We don't want a Demolition Man future where fines are handed out for swearing, but we also don't want a Mad Max future where gangs of thugs are running amok in our streets, terrorizing citizens. We want to return to the American Dream where there is equal justice under the law, and a respect for that law. That respect begins at a very young age.
That's not how the 2nd works. Now if the teacher put her life in immediate danger whilst taking her phone then it could be justified. But you can't just assult/murder over confiscated items during class.
How many of your neighbors are black? Do you live in a black community? Likely no. Like every other race you prefer to be around your own. It’s natural. For just about all of human evolution, if you saw someone with a different skin color, you were about to get murdered and pillaged.
It’s only relatively recently that humans of all different types are able to mix so freely. And yet inevitably, we end up grouping back up again and living in communities near other people that look like us.
But only white Europeans are shamed for wanting to be around their own. Every other race on earth is allowed to have their own space. Only white European countries need to be multicultural. No one is calling for Japan to be invaded because it’s damn near 95% homogenous. But white people can’t have that.
I don’t care about black people. But I am not gonna live in their community, and I’m not gonna send my kids to a school that’s mostly black. They don’t like me more than I don’t like them. They can have their own thing. And I want to have my own thing.
Put your money where your mouth is. Go move deep into the middle of a black neighborhood. Send your kids to a 90% black school. Lol. As if you would ever do that. The idea is absurd. Does that make you a racist? The white guilt era is over. Shove your “you don’t like black people” bullshit up your ass.
We are done. We just don’t care. We are tired of being the only people on planet earth who are guilted for wanting to be around our own.
We're definitely missing context here, we completely miss what led up to it..
but I don't see how you can say using mace is justified. It's not some random criminal, it's a teacher, they are identified, they are not going to disappear. It's also on school property. You handle something like this in court, not by assaulting someone.
Doing a little bit of research (although not vetting sources, and just clicking the first results that come up) I seem to find this sentiment about phones and school:
Typically, state law permits the governing body of a school district, like your local school board, to create school policies about the possession and use of cellphones by students on school grounds. Schools take different approaches, which can make it difficult to know for certain what the cellphone policy is at a particular school.
If schools have a policy that bans personal electronic devices, including but not limited to cell phones, laptops or iPads, then teachers or administrators are allowed to confiscate these devices if students are using them against the policy.

Dindu Nuffin
Her cousin Dinsee is in the other class.
Her brother the alleged drug dealer Aingot was hanging out on the corner.
I am beginning to think it's an IQ thing.
They just repeat the last thing they said.
It's as if they can't think up actual arguments.
Maybe they think we're the stupid ones and eventually we'll understand if they say the same thing over and over.

Assault. Send her to juvy
I’m truly surprised they can find anyone to teach in Antioch… there are worse areas, but not many.
I've been in some of the schools over there. Can't get out fast enough.
She brought a weapon to school...
Its only a "gun free zone"
Did you mean to say a "Free Kill Zone"?

Why am I not surprised? Pure trash.
Tell me she was arrested for assault.
That said, can teachers legally take your phone?

Are you really this thick or are you just pretending to be an idiot?

I don’t want to agree with you but I’m struggling not to.
oh, I would have given her the phone back,, cause.. now she's probably expelled, and possibly arrested, i really hope she was arrested.
there's gotta be a better way than confiscating the phone though. anyone there to cheat or dick around should just pack up and leave.
perhaps schools should employ some type of jamming device with a work around for teachers and staff.
I would have broken her phone and then given it back to her. Then I would have pressed charges.

Hear, hear!
I SECOND THAT!
Everything’s racist.
That word has zero meaning.
Might as well call the sky blue.

Get out of here liberal troll.
It's okay to bring weapons to school?
I sold my business to a black man and retired. He is awesome! I am caucasianly white.
The teacher has every right to confiscate her phone and if you think otherwise then YOU need to go back to school and get educated.
