I took a fall on Friday morning after losing my balance when my whole leg was asleep. I managed to give myself a compression fracture on my L4 vertebrae. Not fun.
I am in a lot of pain in spite of the medicine given me. I was told healing would take up to six weeks or longer. And I need to see a neurosurgeon in 6 weeks to assess my healing.
I am typically a very active 70 year old who exercises frequently, clean my own home, mow my lawn, prune bushes and weed gardens. I have never been an invalid. So this is very frustrating for me.
I was told I cannot bend, lift, or twist for at least 6 weeks. I couldn’t anyway bc of the pain.
I am asking for prayers for complete healing as I don’t want to have to go through any surgery in the future for this. Also need prayers for pain.
Thanks in advance to all you prayer frog warriors out there.
My vitamin D levels were at 85 the last blood test. I take a bone supplement daily that has all of these ingredients over the counter. But I also have a history of osteoporosis. And am currently off the biophosnates for over a year taking a break. Last bone scan just this past month showed I am gaining bone so no meds were needed. I am taking ASEA water daily for a year now. It was healing my bones (scan showed new bone growth) but it takes two years I heard to go off the bone drugs permanently.
Whatever you do, do NOT take calcium supplements! They make bones more brittle, not stronger! This is a causal factor in increased fractures from falls since calcium started being pushed as a solution for a problem that was invented by statistics. I'm not near my info stash atm, but see if you can find The Epoch Times article on calcium and the history of osteoporosis
I don’t take calcium supplements any longer. Ditched them in the 90’s when a gym trainer told me how bad they were.
stringer? casual?
You might like to correct that. :-)
Okay fixed, thank you. Was out with my phone swiping quickly, sorry.
Calcium depletion may increase when you don't take enough potassium in. That is indeed the danger with taking in calcium without potassium. Calcium supplements are very hard to work with so for the average person it is best to avoid!
Even calcium lactate?
We use it for fevers and it works every single time.
I'm talking those daily junk pills for bones, not spot treatment for fever
Ah ok. Calcium carbonate or all forms of calcium?
I understand that boron supplements help with osteoporosis. Here's an example:
https://www.reliasmedia.com/articles/118545-boron-supplementation-for-low-bone-density-and-osteoarthritis
u/tewdryg is the fren who knows about it I think.
I haven't heard of this. I'll take a look.
FTA: "Boron supplementation cannot be recommended on the basis of current research."
I.e. there's no profit in it.
ASEA water is all natural made from purified salt water. The process it goes through turns it into redox signaling molecules that each and every one of us has in our bodies. As we age we lose these molecules so our bodies are more prone to problems. It works at the cellular level. So it works in five areas: circulation, reduces inflammation in body, gut health, hormones and the immune system. It goes where it is needed the most. I was skeptical about it at first but took it due to needing to increase statins ( which is the only prescription I am on for now). Before o took it my blood sugars went up. Plus I had developed a left branch bundle block ( electrical heart issue). So I decide to try it. They have water and a gel you can use for pain. I am using both. In one month I had no arthritic joint pain (or pain from the statins). My cholesterol went down to normal except for LDL which is only just above normal so that I didn’t need to increase my statins which doctor wanted to do. The biggest thing is I am growing back bone so no more bone meds for now. Also my AC1 last time was in the normal range. Also it raised my vitamin D levels substantially.
You can purchase ASEA from a associate of the company. I became one when I started it. I don’t push it on anyone but have sold it mostly to family members and a few friends. One whose doctor wanted to know what she was doing since her statins went to normal after only a few months. She was never on a statin. The company is based in Utah. A Mormon family. This is sold through a pyramid system as they figured out it was the best way to sell it. They refused to go through a drug company who offered to buy it from them. They have scientific data to back it up. It is FDA approved as a supplement. So they cannot claim it cures disease. However there are testimonials from many people in a private group in Facebook on how it has helped them or their loved ones. From autoimmune issues to kidney dialyses to skin issues etc.
Thank you for the details fren!
If mods are willing, which company is it distributed through? If they don't want the company name here, can you message me that info please?
edit: Looks like the name of the company may be ASEA
Good info on borax...I started taking it as suggested in article and I find it helps with arthritis. I had been taking glucosamine/chondroitan and hyaurolonic acid...but this is a lot cheaper and works well...
Here is a good site..

Keep in mind that bisphosphonates have a half life if 5 to 10 years and can stay active in the bone for up to thirty years. The drug's mechanism of action is to inhibit osteoclasts - the cells that break down bone. Sounds great if you have osteoporosis - but the down side is that those osteoclasts are needed for bone remodeling and healing. Therefore, be aware that healing from a broken bone may take longer.
You will need boron doses much higher than what you will find in supplements. https://www.bitchute.com/video/OsESn7JQZavb/ Most of the bone supplements out there are frankly garbage. Look into Jarrow Bone Up Ultra if you can afford it. But, only take half the recommended dose. You don't need that much if everything else is good You will need something to provide building material. The minerals are a calcium hydroxyapatite formulation that is like what bone and other calcified tissues in the body are made of. Most of the mineral supplements out there for calcium are basically ground up rocks. Go out to a gravel pit and chew on some rocks - that is about how effective most supplements are. Most of them are NOT taken up by the bones but get laid down in arteries.
Healing bone is a two pronged approach - repair and inflammation. Increased vit C is necessary for collagen production along with healthy animal fats and protein. Avoid seed oils and sugars - they drive inflammation. Terry Naturals makes a clinically studied curcumin supplement, Curamed, that can help.
Look into infra red therapy to speed up the process. It works well for many.
I hope this helps. Prayers for healing sent your way.
Thank you for your sound advice I will check into these treatments.
How do you tend toward osteoporosis with a D level of 85...are you taking vitamin K? That is a must to go along with the D...I take Supe K from Life Extension and I could not be more pleased...those two together are gold....
My level only went up that high recently from taking ASEA water for now a year . See my testimony above and how I am now building bone. This stuff is amazing
Yes potassium intake is very important.
dunno how much it'll help, but look into something called Methylsulfonylmethane or MSM for short. I read somewhere that it can help with healing, because it acts as a secondary oxygen transport, bringing more oxygen to all parts of the body, which is beneficial for healing of injuries. it can also help you workout longer, and make workouts less painful for much the same reason.
ease into the stuff, though, OP, it's about as toxic as water, but it has two main side effects that I noticed;
