OKC and Tulsa come to my mind. Granted they're more of an outlier than anything.
Regardless, the cities aren't as liberal as some seem to think they are. Take NYC, 21 Million people in the city proper. Assume 10% are actually liberal. That's 2.1 Million people. Which is a massive number, but when you consider there's 18.9 Million who ARE NOT liberal in that scenario....well that's kind of my point.
You can easily organize that 2.1 Million anywhere in the city to make it seem like there's "support" for whatever they're trying to push at any given time. You can even ship them out (which we know for a fact they do) to other states and areas of the country so that it appears like there's "support" for the liberal agenda all over the country.
This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. People on our side want to claim that california, new york, illinois, etc. are actually red if you get rid of the corruption. But you can't do that and ALSO claim that every single major city if full of nothing but liberal extremists.
That's like having your cake and eating it too.
The truth is much closer to what I've described. You have a decent sized minority in most major cities that are actually liberal, that get's bolstered by out of state "professional activists/protesters" from uber large metros.
Big cities have outlived their usefulness to society. Modern day (technology) transportation, communications, and logistics have rendered the industrial necessity for dense, centralized population centers obsolete. Unfortunately, it may take a century, or longer to fix the damages caused to society, and the environment by the unnatural living conditions modern society has had to endure.
Maybe it's because current capitalist conditions are frankly, not good for the rando. Our country generates more capital than ever post-pandemic, corporations are continuing to post year-after-year record profits, banks collapsing, golden parachutes, etc, while regular folk are squeezed tighter and tighter.
"The grass seems greener on the other side" is a tired expression, but only because it is so often relevant. It seems to be a cross-cultural phenomenon of the human brain. Fixing what property you have is more work, less exciting, less promise of immediate change, than switching over to a different property entirely.
It is genuinely hard for the human brain to competently compare current crappy conditions the brain and the body it is in are currently experiencing, with the possibility of much worse dangers. Yes, even with the aid of historical precedent - especially in the post-truth global world.
I'm not saying it's impossible to think otherwise - clearly not. Just that the way our brains prioritize information and conditions make it an easy trap to fall into, before you factor in invisible hands.
I don't think that big cities themselves are the problems. I believe it's that, in big cities, it's just easier to hide fraud.

Indeed!
First it was majorcities. Then big cities. Then cities. Then small cities. Then big towns. Then towns. Now small towns...
Do not be fooled by sizes. The mental plague of communism is spreading at all levels of community.
We have to ask...why?

I think you're onto something. Thanks for sharing that.
You're welcome! B)
San Diego is better than most, especially considering it's in Southern California.
That little pussy Gloria is doing his best to ruin it.
THIS!!!
Trump cannot save American without taking control of the big cities. As long as they exist.
The Cabal will have a base of operations.
That was a worthy read.
Very nice.
Maybe 15 minute cities are to rope in the other 90%.
Succinct. Nicely stated
correction: Trotskyism.
Huntsville, AL?
The city of Nineveh in the book of Jonah seems relevant.
Yeah,
Fort worth
I would think that Salt Lake City is Conservative. Full of cultist Mormons, of course.
