Do you have a link to the videos showing planes from a private citizen? I'd assume it's potatoes quality the internet was a different place and cell phones didn't have any good cameras, though NY is a tourist destination so should be some footage from a camcorder should be possible.

I am not convinced about the CGI claim but I believe there were planes flying about at both the Twin Towers and The Pentagon. There were also explosions. How many, I wonder, would be looking for a plane flying away right after the buildings exploded?
We can guess that something went wrong with the plan regarding Building 7. We know it had records inside that they wanted to destroy. We can be fairly sure it was rigged with explosives but somehow there was no plane. There was also the announcement by the BBC that the building had collapsed minutes before it actually did and we have an interview with Larry Silverstein, who did not go straight to work that day, saying they were going to "pull it."
The explosives were a back up, they were all wired, flight 93 was supposed to hit it (imo) but the remote take over software failed. So when it didn't hit building 7, they had to bring it down anyway because like the others, certain data and agencies were housed there.
