Let’s all pray that this is an accurate representation of theaters this week!!! 🙏
I literally fell asleep no fewer than FOUR TIMES during Indiana Jones and the Fight to Stay Awake
It is unbelievable how they could make one of those action movies be so boring—the only one of the series that blatantly sucked raw hippo ass
Save your money America
Up vote for "sucked raw hippo ass"
Films are hamstrung by their need to send Comms. Anything bringing Nazi's + NASA to the collective conscience is worthwhile, however.
Funny thing is Boxofficemojo won’t even list how sound of freedom has performed. Suppression is real! Great to see another flop come out of the mouse house this year.
Disney is only in operation because of CIA money. Kill the head of the snake and watch how many corporations die!

$10m vs $60m Don’t get it… because of production cost?
Let’s put it this way, Indiana Jones cost 300 million to produce, and likely 175 million to advertise, and it has made 60 million on its opening weekend, which is a catastrophic failure. The theatres will take half the cost of admission, and international sales the studio will get even less of a cut.
The sound of freedom likely cost as much as what Disney spent on feeding the cast and crew of Indiana Jones.
For reference, little mermaid cost $250M to produce and they claim $150M on advertising (I bet it’s closer to $200M). That piece of hot garbage made only $280M leaving Disney to holding a pretty hefty bag of shit. Lots of flops from Disney this year
That is a fair comparison. The image attached to the post isn't, which hurts the credibility of the points that should be stressed (yours)
A few points:
Sound Of Freedom hasn't released yet, these are presales for the Fourth of July.
Indiana Jones was shown in 4600 theatres, likely with multiple screens, while SOF is only showing in 2600, likely with only a single screen each. This leads to a higher percentage of available seats being sold.
Projections have multiple factors, known franchises from major studios tend to perform better, thus being projected higher. Independent films, such as SOF, tend to have trouble achieving market penetration, and thus tend to project lower.
Factoring in ticket inflation, Indiana Jones lost 75% of those who went to see Crystal Skull, which had previously been considered a catastrophically low mark for the franchise.
Disney is artificially inflating their ticket sales via giveaways with Applebees.
Sound of Freedom was showing in select theaters on the 3rd. I know release date is the 4th but many have seen it already including me.
My local theater is showing SOF on 2 screens for a total of 7 starting times today. I dont know if its 7 total showings or if the two screens have a couple starting times that are concurrent.
Since starting times with multiple screens are staggered, it's likely seven total split between the two screens, all while counting as one location. Also worth mentioning, the theater I have saved for when I go has gone from four times to six, timed such to be two screens, and since Indiana Jones lost a bunch of time slots, that's likely where the screen came from. Which is actually kind of cool.
