Yes, I would say 75 years of age. Anyone 75 or older MUST be given, and pass, a cognitive test. Maximum age is 80, regardless of mental awareness. I also think there should be term limits on all political positions and judges with a maximum of 12 years.
I look at the service people like Chuck Grassely are doing for this country, and the obvious answer is a big HELL NO.
What we need is more oversight, investigation, and imprisonment of those criminals using their positions to 1 enrich themselves, and 2 subvert the freedoms of the American people. We also need a way to remove those crooks that is faster, and less a far less burdensome process. It should take their whole damned term to get the scum out of Congress when it is identified.

There is a law that states the to elected for President of the USA you have to be a minimum of 35 years old. There is not a limit for being too old. Yet.
Would settle for a minimum IQ requirement for top-tier political and bureaucratic positions, if they are less than 1% of the population and are given the responsibility of the 99+%, then their IQ should at the very least be in the top10%............
and just like that 90+ % of all top-tier government positions just became vacancies....
No one qualified would ever run for office, if they would only hold a position in Washington for two terms. Who would welcome disrupting their lives and those of their families, for a short duration? We need a way to entice decent people into office, and this would not be the way to get them there.
Having a revolving door in Washington would transfer too much power to the Deep State...those bureaucrats who remain in their positions from administration to administration.

Maybe the limit is somewhere around is 10-20 years? Wondering what the current average tenure is for non term limited positions. If you have dinosaurs that are in their late 80s-early 90s in positions like the article where they are judges who don’t go through elections then that is a huge problem, you’d hope that between the overall awakening and voting in elections would be cleaned up so people like di fi/pelosi don’t remain for too long

Don't need a set number but a pre election cognitive test, along with a drug test, and an IQ test could be useful.
