Judge Chutkan gave Trump’s team 1 day to respond to Special Counsel’s protective order. The Court's local rules allow for 14 days to respond. Trump's team asked for more time. She denied their requested extension & denied Trump's request for a hearing date where both his lawyers could be present.

This railroad isn't meant to have guardrails. Judges are usually allow d some discretion within their jurisdiction (courtrooms), and I'm going to assume thst her boss woukd see this as judicial discretion.

Can't the Supreme Court come knocking on her door and say, "Young lady, please play within the rules of the court system or else we will hold you in contempt for always sending us ruling that need to be overturned". I know it won't happen because judges are appointed for life with really no oversight, except through Congress, but it would be interesting to see a slap down from higher Justices.
