Homeschool!! I wish more people would quit worrying about their money issues and homeschool their children. Like I get it but God will always provide and that's what people forget and as long as you're doing what you need to do God will provide.

He has and he will. Just graduated my youngest. Best decision ever.... the teachers unions hate homeschoolers. Every year the fight in the state legislature to prevent access to certain things, even though we pay taxes and save the state thoudands of dollars per kid.

This is the way. We switched last year and were able to complete first grade in 5 months with providing an average of 1.5 hours of teaching a day. No clue why schools take so long to teach the same material and they still send the kids home with more work to do. We feel like it has been the best decision ever as well.

Yep! Astoundingly inefficient. My boys got an actual childhood because of the time we reclaimed. I'll forever be grateful for that. Enjoy! These years truly are precious. Read them lots of books while you can. Once they read fast they'll want to read on their own. :)

You are so right. With how both parents work, you pretty much let the schools raise your kids. We are currently reading him: Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy SEAL Way - Jocko Willink

Because they need to teach to the lowest common denominator, not the brightest minds. Otherwise they would have 27 A students, 1000 C students and 1000 repeating the grade every year

This is true.

There is another important factor which is the teacher to student ratio. Here is the states it averages around 10 students per teacher. With the second teacher being an assistant. Where in the business and military world, it has been proven that team size should not exceed 5 employees/men per leader.

My friends want to homeschool, but they lack the confidence. I told them to do it, but unfortunately, jabbed so they can go to school.

There were changes going on back in the early 70s in high school. A lot of my classes stopped being about teaching the subject and became places where our teachers would "rap" with us about things (so coool, man!). They would waste all kinds of time (we didn't care, we were teenagers) and then just give us good grades anyway.

And then a lot of those teenagers went on to be teachers, probably with the idea that they could skate with the minimum amount of work AND brainwash a bunch of youngsters with whatever numb-headed ideas they had, basically becoming the Cool Teacher themselves.

There was a massive acceleration when they removed the pledge of allegiance.

Remember Biden's car-crash 'virtual town hall' in Summer 2020? One of the things it started with was a HS student reciting the POA - but with reference to God removed.

I do not remember that but I believe the brain-washing started in the school system. It has always been that way.

Tear down the DOE and stop funding technology in schools. Use the money saved to put more teachers in place, lowering class ratios. Kids need human interaction.

I was always jealous when my mother talked about school. She learned civics, and was so good at grammar that she ended her career as an editor of publications for the Air Force. She travelled all over America, to places like the AF Academy, and they loved her because she fixed all their bad grammar. This was on a normal (in her case, three year) high school education! Then, when I attended the same school, they prepared me well for college, and I entered into sort of AP classes, because my teachers had a class during lunch hour in music theory, and I was way ahead. This was in a small school: My class had only 45 students. I received a full scholarship to study at a large private university, 'cause I was READY, and graduated cum laude. I went on to a full fellowship at an Ivy League University and became a Fulbright Scholar. So, the story is: You don't need a big school with all fancy stuff to get a solid education. You just need a system that prizes classical education, no frills. Books and good teaching. How do you learn? By reading books and practicing that skill that you will spend your life perfecting.

You need to team this with outlawing teacher's unions, which are washing machines for cash to DemonRats and are opposed to real educational reforms.

This is gonna chap some asses but it's my opinion. If your kids are so easily manipulated by the school system and your kids see teachers as an authority figure/parent YOU failed your kids as their parent. Both of my kids know me and my wife are the authority figures in their lives, they know we have the best interests for them, mom is a little more sympathetic but me as a dad I have a more fuck around and find out policy. My kids are not down the lbtqrstwww9 garbage, or homosexuals/trannies they know it's wrong. They know about God and Jesus it's openly talked about, we allow them to be children. If they understand what is right and wrong in life we don't need to monitor what they do. Neither of them have social media, or any of that crap. The only thing I have corrected my kids on was the Rainbow, they associated it with the fags but I told them it was Gods first. We started at a young age with both of them.

The school system is another topic. You can't treat the whole system as a one there are outliers, it's like saying black folks statistically commit most crimes, so all black folks are criminals, that's just not true. Yes there should be no department of education, government shouldn't have a say on anything in this nation. Secondly me and the Mrs both work for our local school district and I'll tell you most teachers would never tell you as a parent but they are not down with the Lgbtqww3 agenda. Employees tend to talk amongst themselves. Where I live there's a lot that the government would consider antivax and a terrorist.

Unfortunately that is not what is happening over in the blue city in Portland. Back in the 1990, we already saw the changes because my mom worked in the school systems all her life. We saw the changes and we told her she needs to retired after couple of fights broke out in cafeteria. The mass shootings have not happened at that time. We knew soon it would come.

Parents over there were so lazy or maybe just work so much they don't have time for their kids. I am not quite sure what the differences are. I see a major difference when I moved to the Midwest 2 years ago. Parents take their kids to the park. You don't even see kids with parents in parks over there. It's really different.
