Kudos to him for wanting to do the right thing and taking a stand... but as others pointed out, you need real infrastructure to support giant crowds - that balloons things out... parking, toilets, concessions etc

Venue cost + insurance + talent payment, overhead, etc., divided by the total amount of paying customers the venue could hold = the ticket cost.
It's an eye-opener for him and I'm sure he feels embarrassed and conflicted about this mistake which was his, by the way.

It's gonna be tough to map his dive bar personality onto his stadium sized popularity.. Maybe by saturating an area with scheduled, 60 minute shows he could tamp demand down some and keep things intimate and affordable?
The easiest solution for him would be to say, I will reduce my fee low enough to give the venue a reasonable profit and the patrons a low ticket price.
The venue needs $19 per ticket to pay expenses, which leaves just $6 per ticket left to pay Oliver Anthony. That would make for the $25 per ticket cost that he wanted.
Oliver Anthony would then receive $9,000 for a one-night appearance.
It needs to be sustainable, and he will work it out. Did you see Chris Lundsford's interview with Jordan Peterson? Peterson have him some solid advice about maintaining sanity while touring and talking to individuals vs the crowd, and how some money distinction will be necessary to help separate haters from real fans... JP has learned much since he got famous.
