thanks for this. I was just becoming aggravated. It's too early to be aggravated.
Thank you!
Fantastic thread, Anon! Time to put it in front of our Normie frens who are already sick and tired of billions being spent un Ukraine and other crap. Easy to understand, explains why things always seem to end up the same way.
This is what I love about Mike Lee and the other libertarian leaning Republicans: they have enough of the small-government ideals to be able to get in laser sight (hats off to Rand Paul -who has done LASIK surgery through Doctors Without Borders - for the illustration, and being one of the small l libertarians) the real problems this country has.
I further recommend that we all contact our Congress persons, (unless you either have a statist democrat or one of the people in Mike Lee's list, then call out your Swamp Critter for being what he or she is_) and tell them you agree with Mike Lee!
Isn’t Mike Lee for cheap foreign labor? Doesn’t he always side with big business? At best he seems conflicted to me, at worst he is a RINO. Jury’s out at this point.
Ok, so some word play is at hand....
Pro-gress = Movement Forward....
Con-gress = Movement backward....
Re-gress = Movement Backward....
But....
Parliament = Group of Intelligent Owls....
Congress = Group of Violent Stupid Baboons....
Hence Congress is a Violent Stupid Group that move Backward instead of Forward....
Whereas, a Parliament would be an Intelligent Group that moves Forward....
Yet, America, the ONLY Nation with a Congress, has the Best Constitution, guaranteeing Life, Liberty, Property, and the Pursuit of Happiness....
And....
Other Nations have Parliaments, which are all moving in the direction of Enslaving all of their Peoples, making Serfs of them, subjugating them, and the Rulers making themselves into the Owners of those Peoples....
Hmmm, Why am I gaining some affinity for Baboons??
con kŏn adverb
noun
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition. More at Wordnik
But in Spanish, yes, con means with, but Con in Congress is Latin Based, not Spanish based, it is one level higher....
It is not as Sophisticated(changed or altered), as the Spanish version....

That's a long subject....
Thanks for the share. Though I am not certain this is really Senator Mike Lee's account, granted it could simply be his personal account, though there is a Senator Mike Lee account too.
Which is the real senator, or are they both him?
I think they are both him. My guess is this is his personal account and since he identifies as a US Senator in it and has the blue verified checkmark it's him.
The budget act. The rules cmte. The end of deliberation in the congress. About 40 years ago, each department had public hearings in the subcmte and full cmte of jurisdiction which wrote a report and passed an authorization bill, which could be amended by the full cmte of the house and then voted by the house in session. Only then did each authorization go to appropriation to determine the amount appropriated which could not exceed the amout authorized. And in the process, there was over sight so the punishment for an agency gone wrong was spending prohibitions or deletions.
Messy, tedious and sometimes late which meant a dept or agency shut down, not the whole gov.
The old way was better.
Oh, and another thing. You couldn't change law (think authorization bill) in an appropriation bill or conference report/final bill.
Funny, he uses The Firm as his name for group that effects every American. I've often compared Perkins Coie to the movie The Firm.
The British monarchy is called the Firm by at least Harry.
If these morons can't tackle individual agency budgets, then pass an "omnibus" bill for 2023/2024 that funds everything at 85% of the 2019 budget before any of the run up for Covid BS. Then again for 2024/2025 at 85% of 2023/2024. Should take about an hour to draft and another two hours to pass.
That is what companies do when they are suffering through bad times, and these are definitely bad times.
Good dig
