Audio: Vehicle KILL SWITCH Mandate Means You Will Be a PRISONER in Your Own Vehicle!
Welcome to the Kick Them All Out Project, a non-violent battle plan for the next great American Revolution! Uniting the power of our votes to hold politicians accountable!
Yes but it’ll be undone. Another one of those BS Commie laws that’ll go away once DJT is back in office. Plus you can wire around it unless they include it in the computer. Then you’ll have to get a Comp Controller box to turn it off.
Yes ive heard of it.
I won't even connect my phone to my car.
And I'm keeping my 20 old truck as well,I'm pretty sure I can run these two cars for the rest of my life.
This. There's no need for a new car, they are all recycled garbage plastic on wheels. My 89 Jimmy runs great
Same here. 2005 Toyota truck with 90K miles. Last truck my dad ever owned, bought it when he died in 2012. Will be last vehicle I ever own probably. And wife's car is 2010 FourRunner with same low mileage.
If you want the truth, almost every vehicle made since 2010 can be shut down electronically. They can GPS track every vehicle made since 2010, and can retrace where your car / truck has been every minute for the past week.
Did you watch the Murtaugh murder trials in South Carolina? They traced his car's movements for the past week, traced his wife's car and the kid's car... all while investigating AFTER the murders took place. They also traced all of their cell phones, smart watches, etc... . Total 100% GPS trace.
If you don't think they can shut down a vehicle electronically, call On-Star and ask them. Yes, they can. Local law enforcement can't shut down your car, but I guarantee that the Feds can.
Bonus question: Can the Feds take complete control of your car and make it to whatever they want? Ask Ellen Degeneres' ex-girlfriend. Oh wait... She's dead. Hmmm... How did her car suddenly go out of control like that?
Glad I don't drive anything made past 2005 then.
early on-star enabled vehicles actually have a discreet unit that can be removed to disable that functionality without impacting any other vehicle functions. in the Corvette world we call this "weight reduction"
all while investigating AFTER the murders took place.
So they were able to track car location independent from cell phone location data. Did the cars have active On-Star feature? If not then that would say that On-Star, or OS like capable vehicles track location whether activated or not, or that the vehicle has some other black-box tech that is keeping and or transmitting this info.
That is good to know for anyone that though leaving cell phone at home when going to event would keep from being tracked, and I'm not even considering facial recognition, license plate camera tracking.
They were able to use the car GPS location to determine exactly where it was all week, what speed it was driving, where it stopped, where it slowed down, etc... for an entire week. They knew the precise locations of every car that family owned.
In addition, when someone parked the vehicle and got out to walk, they could GPS track the person to within +/- 10 feet of their location... and had a full week of data about that person's movements that week. They knew if two people were standing next to each other, or were on opposite sides of a building, or both inside the same building, and where in that building they were.
I've watched too many times where a crime was committed, and during the trial information comes out about that person's location, or their vehicle's location and ability to track by GPS.
Leave your car at home, or else drive to a park-n-ride and take a bus. Call an Uber ride. Ride a bicycle or motorcycle. Buy an OLD pre-1999 vehicle in good condition, and use that if needed. Turn off your cell phone, or else leave it somewhere else, but still turned on.
That's incredible. I can see this happening pretty easily if a monitor was put on the vehicle, but not when tracking was post location events. That means this information of stored in a database for a period of time.
Unplug the cellular radio, unplug the wifi radio. You don’t need them, the State does. These things are easily defeated.
If you really want a good vehicle, buy pre-1986. Those vehicles are EMP-proof. (I might have the year wrong, it might be 1987? or 1984? My memory is mush these days).
Yeah but do you know how hard it is to find a 40 year old vehicle in working condition?
Not easy. You'd have to troll a LOT of estate sales and hope to get lucky.
Red Barchetta is looking pretty sage now, isn't it?
It’s like everything’s been done and voted on so now tgey have to make sh1t up. This is happening at the state level too.
So your telling me that is was the Florida State Congress that voted on this, and Georgia, and Alabama, and South Carolina and ..... states that all passed this?
No, he’s saying generally speaking, that politicians (federal state and local), will always continue to justify their jobs, even when there is no need for new legislation.
They get paid to legislate, so they will continue to over-legislate.
And we know that legislators, our representatives don't actually write any of this legislation, right. It's the lobbyist and special interest groups that write all legislation, and the legislators only vote on it.
Yes this is correct. My wife is in state government and I can tell you that 100% of all legislation is written by lobbyists. The politicians wrangle votes and negotiate to get things past.
It’s very sad and both parties play that game.
If you watch some Arkansas state police videos on the tube you will see why they wanted this. There's a stereotype of people and vehicles who run instead of pull over. That's why we can't have nice things.
Then there is the totally retarded scheme of only allowing some vehicles into the city based on license plate number or something.
A reminder that the role of government is to guarantee our constitutional rights. Nothing more. Every law passed should ask that question. Does it protect our rights or take away? Very simple premise.
Too bad, Trump will be in office by then, plus we'll see some new faces CONgress.
Always good to bring important developments to the forefront periodically.
Some good conversation and info in here…

I suggest you buy used! KEK
Three vehicles have 20k, 30k and 50k miles -- it will be a long time before I have to deal with a kill switch, and anything that disables a machine can be disabled with a little thought.
Yes. Just goes to show, Congress is not working for the people. Get rid of Congress now.
Or you could not waste money on a new car.
Not me. If if I purchased a different vehicle, it would not be a new one. Let someone else take the depreciation hit. I don't know how anyone affords a brand new vehicle, or why they would want one. A payment book is a bad thing to have hanging over your head at the end of the month.
I would not even buy a used car from a professional lot, but seek to find a good private deal, and definitely pay cash.
So what if you have a car you plan on keeping the rest of your life, but you wreck it, and the insurance company totals the vehicle? They total a car when the repair cost exceeds a percentage of the estimated value. Today a car does not even have to be that damaged for it to be totaled.
This happened to me around 2004. What I did was find out the difference between repair cost and insurance pay out, and then had car repaired and paid difference out of pocket. I ended up driving car for many years so it was a better deal that if I would have had to purchase another vehicle.
We are of the same ilk. I decided on my last truck that I will get nothing beyond a 2007. Really, I would even prefer older. They older they get, the less EPA bulls@#t and the easier they are to work on. My current may be my last. If it needs a motor, I will drop one in. Way cheaper. Super nice truck too. Just 18 years old. I may switch to an old big block cheverolet at some point. Those motors and parts are abundant. So easy to fix.
You aren't kidding about the new ones. Those prices are absurd.
don't worry no one will be able to afford a new care after 2023.
Like someone can afford a new car today?
Back in 1978, I bought a brand new BMW 320i I was very young so they thought they were going be able to take advantage of me, and make most of their money on the car loan interest rate. I negotiated them down to rock bottom price, then when they/I had signed deal, told them I would be paying cash for the car. They got all pissed off, told me they could not sell the car for agreed to amount, and tried to back out. I reminded them that they had signed the contract and were obligated to the deal. They gave in.
That same 11.2K car today would cost nearly 60K.
So, a kill switch like this will require some type of cellular/sim combo.
That means:
Find it and remove the antenna/receiver/transmitter.
Remove the device completely (provided it doesn't have some kind of link that requires that device there for the vehicle to even operate)
This is a good way for mecahnicanons to make $$
I don't give a shit...
I've got a fast dual sport with rifle case and enough gear for a one man army...50+ mpg.
Carburated.
There is a similar guide for defeating this for most vehicles: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-corvette-general-discussion/3589295-easy-onstar-removal-method.html
Tell that to my zero turn mower that shuts the blade off if put in reverse.
All kidding aside, I know there is a way to disable that too, and if not, I am smart enough to figure out a way, just haven't done it. One work around I do employ though is to see-saw my zero turn backwards if I need to reverse a little.
