I think we’ve seen a mix of both. There is definitely coordinated arson. In fact actual arrests to prove it. IMO the only “perfect” example of a DEW in use the strike on the Georgia Guidestones.
That said, it is very coincidental that these Chinese birds were directly overhead at the same time as the fires starting - assuming the data is true.

I'm not saying in theory it cannot be done, but I think current conventional satellites don't have an energy source with enough power, so I don't expect DEWs to be possible from long haul spy / communication satellites. That's all I meant.

There are so many satellites orbiting the Earth that you could probably attribute a few dozen to an orbit that crossed the fire areas at about the same time, since satellites traverse the Earth's surface so fast.
