I don't advocate for death, but the oncologist put my mil who is 94 on pills for her breast cancer just found....all the labs, the scans, the frequent office visits.....they are making a bundle off of her knowing that her life span is limited just due to age.....IMO....
Same with my father-in-law. He was on his death bed. A nurse comes in to give him a shot. My wife asked her what was the shot for. The nurse said it was a flu shot. My wife lost it at that point and demanded that the nurse leave the room. $$ over people...
Those situations are tough. My 74 year old uncle just had throat C dealt with. I hope he regains the ability to eat solid foods soon. He was super healthy or so it seemed.
He also uses VA Healthcare, so God only knows what they've given him in the past. Can't help but wonder what they're learning from our service men and women's health records, and moreso in a sinister way is my worry.
True. My oncologist scheduled several appointments that were in my estimation totally unnecessary. He did schedule radiation which went quite well, then scheduled pharmacuticals which I refused to take. End of discussions and appointments.
My Fiance threw in the towel 6 weeks ago. She did the chemotherapy which did take care of her ovarian cancer. She was overpowered and overtaken by her C. Was the wildest thing I've ever seen. One week fine, the next her abdomen was very swollen with a fluid that was seeding tiny tumors everywhere. Looking like you'd been slinging paint from a brush. We would have seeked an alternative treatment if it hadn't been so hard and fast. I think it would have killer her and quickly.
Now though, they've been doing something other than the chemo for the better part of a year, wanting to go til March. A type of immunotherapy they call it. No more. She's gotten good reports after missing 3 treatments, we are done. It's all about the money at this point. These infusions have caused her permanent damage i fear. We will take other means of keeping it in check hopefully. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
