In Germany they did this “test” earlier, right after the WWII:
divided the country into a communist part and a capitalist part,
same way they’ve divided Berlin and built the wall to separate 2 Berlin cities.
Then, after dozens of years, they did one more thing: They’ve demolished the wall.

Yeah, I can see your point. There are obviously a LOT of differences beyond just lights between the two sides of that line. I was only commenting on the image itself, which I'll admit is a brilliant reflection of something profound. Similar to the satellite imagery of Dominican Republic vs. Haiti.
