Extremely interesting interview this man is probably a genius…Other than calling out both Bushes, the CIA, Clinton, O’Bastard and the Resident- one of the things that most impressed me about Putin was his incredible knowledge of history- especially Ukraine and the fact that Russia made many attempts throughout the last decades to cooperate with the US- especially after 1991 when the USSR fell… can’t imagine the resources we would have gained-what a different world it would be if we had! IMO Tucker sounded kind of dumb…
I agree with you u/Bluridgegirl2
Years ago I watch Oliver Stone's Putin Interviews and I came away impressed with the depth of the man's intellect.
In my opinion, Putin wants what is best for Russia and I am perfectly fine with that. Trump wants what is best for the United States and I am fine with that too.
If both leaders do what is in their own country's best interest AND they get along, great! That's how the world should be.
p.s. Tucker is smart and intrepid, but I agree, he comes off as a college goofball at times. He can't completely compose himself for the whole interview. There were times where he had a very pensive look, but then he would spaz out with a maniacal laugh without warning.
Tucker has always struck me as slightly rumpled around the edges. Just his style I guess. But, so funny how Putin would put him in his place from time to time. 😅
I generally enjoy Tucker's interviews, but it was weird to watch him trying to appear adversarial when it was neither necessary nor appropriate. Tucker might be an excellent journalist, but he is not Putin’s equal, not as station is ranked in the world, and not as it is reckoned for intellect. It’s not that I think Putin walks about with a saintly glow, but he is the head of state of one of the most important and powerful countries in the world, and that made Tucker’s disrespectful demeanor an affront. I was absolutely appalled to see him trying to manipulate Putin into releasing a captive journalist. It was the juvenile trap of a narcissist that was never going to work on a man like that.
Tucker was completely out classed.
I too watch some of Tucker's interviews, but he has always struck me as immature. I'm not sure if it's just an act to get people to say more juicy stuff, but with Putin he came off looking uneducated and like a dumb American. Not a good look.
Tucker hasn't had a difficult day in his life. He also has never been punched in the face. He admits as much and knows he was fed from a silver spoon.
That's not his fault and this is his time to stick his neck out amd I'm glad he is. I believe he wants to help, but he will never know what the struggle of the everyday man has been like. Again, that's not his fault. That's why I don't bag on him.
It was at that moment I felt embarrassed. The interview up until this pressurized request was great.
Putin had to explain to Tucker, teacher to student, just why he himself could not and would not unilaterally simply release the prisoner. Legal process wins over 'feelings.' The journo got caught and is in payment mode.
I'll give him a little slack here. It was obvious to me that the recording was edited so that the English dub aligned closely with what Putin was actually saying. In real-time interpretation, there's a greater delay in getting the English interpretation, so when Putin said something that Tucker found funny, it was probably several seconds before that was interpreted into English.
Ha, good point. It must have been quite interesting to have such an in-depth interview while relying on a translator to see it through.
In my opinion, Tucker seemed pretty nervous during the interview, may be the reason for getting really loud & laughing at times. I mean just sitting in the room alone with Putin's total attention on him is enough to be nervous about, he's formidable. Although, every time I see Putin talk he seems very laid back, he seems very intelligent and composed. Tucker also had the weight of what will happen when he comes back home, will the DS try to suicide him? Heck, we can all say "why didn't he ask this or that, or why did he mention that reporter" all we want but we were not sitting in front of Putin. When I'm nervous I forget everything I wanted to say, I get tongue tied in the middle of telling a story, lol, it's like my brain has continuous brain farts, it's embarrassing.
For Putin to even contemplate an interview with Tucker out of all the journalists in the world is saying something.

Maybe he was intentionally sounding dumb to cover his rear, still get the information out there to the public, but be able to use plausible deniability
Brazil Russia India China South Africa.......
Designed to KILL the FED Petrodollar.
Time for the fiat to die. Long live the gold backed currency of every sovereign nation.
Absolutely correct. If America decides it can seize 300 billion dollars belonging to Russia because America doesn't like what Russia is doing, will other countries have second thoughts about doing trade in dollars, which could be seized at any time that America doesn't like your policies?
If they have a brain they will.
He is correct. The simple way is saying we buy our influence and each time we do, we weaken the dollar.
So Putin is saying we will go into another Depression?
Yes I suppose that is an outcome of creating unlimited supply of currency to buy off the world.
Let’s hope Trump comes back before anyone needs THAT redpill.
