yes... ev cars have very shortened tire life as well.... another big complaint... go to any on-line tire store and they sell tires geared toward ev's because of the excessive weight.
Oh crap. Didn't even think of that. Good thing I did the math and didn't get one. You know, west coast liberal, everyone was buying one and I thought about it.
There was a story over in Europe where some parking garages were being destroyed due to the increase of EV's. Those things were never constructed to hold the level of weight that is being introduced. Roads are being damaged faster with these clown cars as well.
Greatly increased tire wear is another thing I never see brought up when they are pushing EVs.
These same people want to ban all things petroleum yet they have nothing to say about the massive increase in used tire waste and rubber dust that will happen as a result of moving to all EVs.
Told this to a buddy who just bought a 2024 Ford F150 Lightning (Millennial Farmer 3rd Generation). Asked him if he priced out new tires for his rig. He said no of course not it’s brand new. I just smirked. Called me yesterday and said WTF? Like my Dad use to say, Young, Dumb and full of cum
The other side of the weight problem is that it negates all of your cars safety equipment. Getting hit by a 10,000 pound hummer at speed, will kill you.
And then there is the backside. . .if "new" EV sales are questionable, how they hell are you ever going to get rid of a used EV which, more likely than not, needs a new, very expensive, battery replacement? Zip, zero, nada on the resale side!
Oh. Here's another thing, if the sale is going badly, you not going to get companies making parts for it. Even if your battery is good, and something else go wrong, where do you buy parts?
Yup. The EV industry is NOT yet "ready for prime time", as it has numerous areas of concern including infrastructure, buildings, pedestrian and bicyclist safety AND battery fires.
". . ., a report in the Washington Times explains that those batteries are heavy, and EVs can weight up to 50% more than internal combustion motor vehicles.
And that weight damages roads, bridges and parking garages, with those vehicles easily plowing through safety guardrails while posing a higher danger to other drivers?l9 ."is l9)[
?
Thats usually true, but the bodies of the EVs arent built like the old lead sleds, it will still crumple like a tiny popcan and you're also sitting on an incendiary lithium bomb
Newer cars with crumple zones are much safer than the lead sleds of old. I'm not defending EVs in any way way, it may be the case the weight exceeds the safety of crumple zones.
Roads are designed for semi trucks, cars are not part of the planning process. IE the road base; not traffic. If it can transport a big rig with all its weight, cars hardly make a difference.
But for parking structures the EV weight could be a big deal. A lot of parking structure can pancake down with age/weight like the apartment build in Florida that collapsed a few years ago.
I've been saying it for years: Until there's something better than batteries under the hood producing power, EVs will remain suitable only for an urban niche market.
The backlash will be starting soon against EV's. I think it will start small with parking garages putting up signs, "NO EV'S ALLOWED", and parking lots having designated EV parking areas further away due to safety concerns and weight issues. You will also start seeing signs like they have for trucks, "NO Trucks or EVS allowed" on this road.
My niece got rid of her EV Mustang-big fear of fire in garage spreading; displeasure at electric bills that skyrocketed.
I have a nighbor who owns a Tesla and parks it on the common parking with no charging stations (older condo development)-several times I have seen techs working on his Tesla.. Pity the fool that gains a Tesla and loses his shirt...
It's to make transportation out of reach for americans. Ban gas cars but make it very difficult to obtain juice to run electric cars.
Did you see the weight problem? I didn't know.
yes... ev cars have very shortened tire life as well.... another big complaint... go to any on-line tire store and they sell tires geared toward ev's because of the excessive weight.
and everyone knows how beneficial old tires are for the environment /s

Especially with big old incendiary lithium battery bomb attached
Parking garages have collapsed because to many virtual signalers parked there
Yes, part of the 15 minute cities. Confine you, make flying unsafe and/or cost prohibitive.
EV will kill American automotive manufacturing.
Also this hummer is 10,000 pounds. It instantly negates all of your cars safety equipment. If that thing hits you, you're dead.

once again, the issue comes down to battery tech...
if we are to assume white hats have been in control, then i don't think the EV infrastructure has been built for nothing.
our adversary is for it because it appears to suit his purposes.
but it wouldn't have been allowed to happen if it didn't ultimately serve our own.
not gonna buy an EV while they're still exploding....but i have hope for the concept.
This news has been going around. Ai is being used to discover more efficient materials for batteries and solar panels etc.
That seems like a way to release lots of hidden technology in the future. Blame it on Ai basically.

Yes. It ultimately come down to battery.

AND, EVs can be death traps - https://greatawakening.win/p/17s5auho27/mandated-ev-death-traps-about-wh/
Thanks for the information.
How could they not have realized the effects of much heavier weight??
They didn't have a scale that big. No, just joking.
DS want you unable to travel.
I didn't know that EVs were heavier and I didn't know that occupants were safer in the heavier car when in a collision.
Like my long-haul truck driver neighbor said, "You don't want a tin can."

You got that one hundred percent.
The "Stacey Abrams" of cars.
As they simultaneously double and triple insurance rates for pre kill switch vehicles
send mo munny !!
you mean to Ze..Lens..Key?
C'mon bigot ! Muh Ukranians need to drive don't they? To save dimocracy
LOL
