Confused. I thought Fed reach would take precedence if it were more onerous than State level. If state level were more onerous, then that one would be the law followed. (ex: marijuana. Feds still have as illegal, even in states that would allow it. It's just that the feds don't enforce unless it is beneficial to something else they're working on.) (ex: speed limits - remember "55 max" throughout the country? Even if states wanted to go higher, feds more restrictive rule takes precedence. That was during an 'energy crisis' period, before we realized we had the most underground oil reserves anywhere.)
Knowingly permitting uncontrolled entry into the country is Treason. I don't see anyone enforcing the penalty for treason against the Feds. Let Texas take the lead and let's see a states' rights battle erupt. If the courts don't uphold states' rights, then we are one step closer to "the military is the only way".
I would like to see Texas enforce the law despite the recent SCOTUS injunction. That's how the leftists operate - better to ask forgiveness than permission - and they get away with all sorts of shit the effects of which are irreversible. Then they just say, "Whoops! Too late now. Oh well."
Yes, he stayed the 5th circuit's ruling. Then they ruled on it themselves 6-3 that the law was Constitutional. The law stands. Texas can arrest suspected illegals now.
Not enough prison space! We’ll have to build big ol tent work farms. They’ll get bored so work details will be in order. Make em finish the damn wall!
They stayed it pending a ruling. Then they ruled on it 6-3 that it was Constitutional. They agreed that Texas has the right to uphold this law. Celebrate.
Yes. Blocking TX from doing its job so now TX is going against the Supreme Court and Biden. I just heard on the news some of the states are sending in more National Guards to help TX
Funny thing, but Mexico ALREADY considers it a crime to illegally cross the Texas border into Mexico. Try crossing the U.S. border into Mexico illegally... and see what happens when Mexico catches you without a passport and approval to be there.
If you ever wanted to experience a Mexican jail... that would be one way to accomplish this.
Why do we need a new law , though?
Isn’t this already in the books?
It’s a federal crime, but Biden administration is refusing to prosecute. Making it a state crime allows Texas to prosecute. And you know we will.
Yes we will, but I thought I read the Supreme Court has blocked the implementation of this law?
They stayed it. Today they ruled it was constitutional. It stands.
We need to learn legalize here.
thought i saw that as well....

Have you seen any of the politicians obeying laws lately? Of course, it's already should be a federal law.

'24 is an election year, so ...
Show the people.
Well since the GOV refuses to step in and do anything it's time for Texas to step up!
Not so fast. Delayed indefinitely by Alito.
Supreme Court extends temporary hold on Texas immigration law

Disobedience should be the norm here for treasonous snake.

We should be celebrating.

Laid bricks.
And every American citizen just looked at each other and said "Huh? This wasn't already a crime???"
Unbelievable.
didnt the supreme court just block this?

Howls. If TX starts shooting, they will experience it.
Texas needs to pass a law saying it is legal to use lethal force on all invaders… follow that with, we will not comply with federal law…
Second part already done.
Broken leg + deported. Death penalty for violent offenders.
Howls. I like your solution.
They should also make it illegal to enter Texas after crossing any other state's Mexican borner illegally.
I second that.
