While we're all researching and staying abreast of this issue as we get more information in over the days and weeks ahead, I just wanted to offer a prayer for the innocent Russian people who were harmed or murdered in this vicious attack and their loved ones.
These people left their homes with expectant hearts to enjoy a concert, perhaps with friends or family, peaceably going about their days and not harming anyone. At best each of them have been traumatized, many injured and many killed in this attack. Their loved ones, family and friends alike, will now have years of sorrow, pain and grief. Parents, children, husbands, wives, grandparents, extended family, friends, colleagues - so many lives and hearts crushed by this despicable violence. And how many more, unaffiliated with any of the victims, will be worried when going out anywhere there's a crowd? Acts like this claim victims, destroy families and terrorize society.
Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of the Russian people, just like so many others through the ages, suffering in pain, grief and loss as victims of the evil beasts who roam this earth. Lord, we ask You to heal the injured and comfort the loved ones of those who have perished as You take the deceased in Your loving arms and into Your kingdom. Lord, let the victims' beloved family and friends remember that their very lives were a testament to Your goodness, blessings to be cherished throughout time as the shared bonds of love can never be taken from their hearts. Father, please still the anguished hearts of the victims and their beloved with Your peace and give us all strength to help eradicate the evil from our lives. In Jesus' loving name. 🙏✝️
