CFX owns the toll roads in Orange County, and that agency is owned by the State of Florida. The rest of the major toll roads are owned by either FDOT or Florida Turnpike Enterprise, which itself is owned by FDOT, too.
Bridge owner makes a claim against the ship's insurance company
Ship's insurance company does an investigation to see if it's a covered event
If covered, insurance company pays out.
If not covered, no pay out
If the ship was hacked by a foreign country, the investigation would reveal this as a not-covered event, and it would drag America into a kinetic war.
But Brandon goes on TV the same day saying that we the taxpayers will pay to fix the bridge. Any investigation will be done by Brandon's cronies to get the result desired by the administration: no hacking, just an accident.
I’d imagine there’s obscure legalese at work. There usually is when it comes to things that don’t make immediate sense. Given our labyrinthine and tangled legal system. Allows Government to justify doing or not doing something.
I’d imagine any insurance companies involved are also pulling out their contracts and pointing out obscure fine print and loopholes to try to wriggle out of paying anything
No way gov does it more efficiently. Remember the wall? Trump asked us army COE to bid the wall and they said it would costs trillions just to make it sound unattainable. Trump turned to the private sector and said here is the number to beat.
Californias high speed train to nowhere is calling for you to have a look. More money being thrown at it is just more to launder to your friends. Government involvement leads to delays and cost over runs almost exclusively.
Good point, many toll roads and bridges are owned by foreign countries..
You want to provide some examples for that statement?

I'm not sure what toll road it was, I remember seeing it in the news a French Co. owns one of them. Many of our ports are foreign owned.
Because it was an Act of War
What's the normal way this would be dealt with?

THey want to control thhe investigation. Pure and simple. Follow the money....
It carries a federal interstate highway over a federally controlled tidal waterway.
To hide the evidence?

$1 to cross the bridge in 1987! Nice!
It was $3 when I went over it on March 23rd.
I think they charge $4 if you don't have the proper transponder.
It's a national emergency. Under normal circumstances the govt can do it faster.
The government can expedite projects by getting tf out of the way by lifting regulations.

I didn't say more efficiently.
I said faster.
If you toss enough money at it you speed it up.

Yes, they can rebuild the bridge and then go after the shipper and the insurance companies etc, etc.
And then the government gets told that it's already done so it wouldn't make a difference anymore.
Just like everything else.
