I disagree. All the precedents in the world are simply ignored or thrown out when they are against democrats. These lawsuits against Trump were against the rules. They just moved the statute of limitations, changed the definitions, and combined the misdemeanors and felonies in a big mishmash. Rules and precedents don’t apply when they adversely affect democrats.
Deep state is cornered. They know that if Trump returns to office and they are screwed. So they are doing whatever they can to try to stop Trump, even though they know these things will be used against them if they fail.
A criminal on the run will break any law, do ever more desperate things, to escape being caught. This is the deep state today.
This is where the placeholder q posts make me think. There could be a world where this actually isa DS trial and trump is just sitting in as a placeholder? Maybe? Lol
I, for one, don't think it's about setting it up to use against them. That would just make it look like Trump trying to get even. Yes, we KNOW it would be justified, but I think something else is going to have to happen to get more people behind Trump, not looking at him like he's just trying to get even.
For this reason, I think whatever is going to happen will have to be outside the realm of politics.
Except if the trials against President Trump are illegal/unethical, so would be those types of trials against anyone else. It's important to remember that white hats will only charge others for illegal actions - and there have been plenty of those.
