This was posted last evening on X by my friend in Nevada. I'm in AZ. We always get clobbered by what moves over the Sierras from Calif but I have NEVER seen any system like this one on it's way. Considering the shit weather systems being seeded this might be worthy of some extra prep. It is already getting windy in central highlands of AZ. No matter what the usual weather reports may say.
typical well organized Northern California winter system....But not typical for May How much of US Food does Commiefornia Produce?
its just rain lol
Famous last words of people who face flash floods but don't leave their low lying houses before it's too late.
I'm on a hill, but they were complaining about record flooding last year that barely made the creek rise.
I would hope so. But seeding seems to be the threat.
name checks out
Got snow at the Cabin (Sierra Nevada’s) Fri was 76 and sunny and then Sat. Rain then Snow around 11 am dropped to 32 - was very weird
No. But being the west coast, I wouldn't be surprised if it started raining fire and brimstone. Hope all the pedes are keeping an eye out.
Weird that regular weather reporting shows no concern. But does say Az wind could gust to 65 mph. Well yeah, that would mean wind from the west. True snowstorms do park themselves over the Sierras and stay there. Only reason I have some nerves about freakish weather is that in Az high country where I am we get very severe microbursts. Last time, we had TWO funnel clouds show up at that same time. Nobody has storm basements around here. "We ain't in Oklahoma"
Lol @ oklahoma. Not a ton of basements there either
It turns out that digging into hard clay is expensive lol.
We've got lots of "hidey holes" in Oklahoma though!!!
And those weird pod things lol
South Texas has had the absolute crap kicked out of us over the last 4 days. I've personally had almost 17" in four days. Got a very small amount of water in the house too. Luckily I was able to get it out quickly.
It's hard to tell where this is.... is it the coast of Washington State?
NorCal
Ah, thanks. Here in landlocked east Tennessee, I'm not as familiar with the left coast as I should be.
Hopefully it falls into the ocean soon.
Unlikely, but funny nevertheless.

And you are a troll with herpes....
Capitalize that J.
WEll, if it comes straight across, yep I'll be in it's path as per usual.
It hailed! sideways! It made the loudest noise on the sliding glass door. Kids were excited, but luckily no crop issues, at least not in almost/rice/wheat.
I am in AZ, I looked at the radar and found what I think is this weather system on the Nevada Border. I pushed play to watch its path and it didn't show this storm was moving looks like it is just going to sit in the same spot for hours Maybe go north a tiny bit. That is what I found to be strange
Cleaning out Commiefornia? Hope it doesn't wash all the liberals and their piles of shit on the sidewalks into the sea. The oceans might never recover!
We got 2" of rain in the Sierras. But the storm covered the state from the ocean to the mountains.
It is spring time. Looking at the full radar picture this looks like a pretty normal spring storm coming out of the Gulf of Alaska. The type that brings spring blizzards to the Rockies. It could be enhanced but not necessarily. There has always been storms similar to this.
We have to stop letting our confirmation biases rule over our logic and reason.
I'm in central NC, and we got a shit-ton of rain early this morning.
I don't know what's going on, but over the past 4 years or so, I don't remember getting too many "normal" rains.
The Sierras got clobbered last night by snow. I-80 was closed. This morning chain controls are up.
There is a perfect line of no rain or snow between 97 and 84. Weird. Just weird.
There have been a series of these storm systems over the past week or so. The one that was drenching the north west a few days ago is now dumping it's load in Texas. Heavy Heavy rain. 6-9 inches per hour. Spring has sprung in a big way this year.
It's nowhere on the map. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/national/weather-radar
