Massachusetts Bill Would Allow Women to
Sell Their Unborn Children

On June 12, the Massachusetts House is expected to vote on a bill that would allow mothers to exchange their children for money---that is, engage in baby-selling—under the name of “parentage equality.” The “Parentage Equality” bill seeks to redefine parenthood. Parenthood is recognized on its natural biological basis, or in cases of adoption, justice for a child who has suffered loss by providing them with a safe, loving home. This bill redefines it on the basis of a “person’s intent to be a parent of a child.” In doing so, it strips all mention of mothers and fathers from parentage law, replacing these vital familial roles with gender-erased language.
This amounts to trafficking.
Exactly.
Not surprised one bit...
I skimmed this slog of a bill and I don’t see where it legalizes selling your children. I don’t know if a surrogacy agreement was illegal in Mass. prior, it seems like the author is just referring to surrogacy as selling your children to get clicks. If somebody finds that passage in the bill please correct me
Most people don't even bother reading the articles attached. They just form opinions based on headline titles.
To be honest I don’t actually think most people here know what discernment even means, much less how to practice it. Believing obviously false headlines is certainly not it.
Planned parenthood already does that
Yup if the law allows it, it's nothing more than legalized human trafficking.
Edgar Cayce said the soul doesn't enter a body until it takes it's first breath...
Basically it will legalize the sale of children for body parts, child labor and sex.
Where did you see that in the bill?
If you’re allowing women to sell their children, this allows nefarious individuals to buy those children for those ‘unsaid’ uses.
Where in the bill is it saying women are allowed to sell their children? Only this federalist website is making that claim, it’s not in the bill that I can find.
(beep)
"Hello, my name is Marina Abramović.... I saw your ad on facebook, and I want so much to be loving parent to your baby for sale. Call me back at...."
(beep)
what could go wrong??
How much for the baby? 🤔
The bidding starts at....
Is there any way to get a list of nefarious clickbait website for all users to see? Fake headlines that are factually false when you read the document in question seems to be a really high percentage of posts here.
open the doors to allow sale of babies and next you will have selling of babies for pieces and parts, send newborns into the hands of pedophile's, traffickers, and some to be killed in demonic rituals.
I'm ok with it. It's hard work. Why should a mother bear a child. A donor gift an organ and only the hospital or attorney make lots of money?
An organ is not a living, thinking, feeling thing with a soul and a mind of its own. An organ doesn't care what becomes of it; it is merely a hunk of non-sentient flesh. A baby is an individual and should have the same rights and protections as all other individuals, no?
A woman bore the 9 month pain and change to her body whether she keeps her baby or not. If she us going to give the child up for adoption I don't see why her contribution merits no financial benefit while the attorney who only drafts the paper work walks away with thousands. I understand you don't want to sell a child, but I just see a disparity and poor excuse to again not acknowledge valuable contribution for a woman's effort. If she shouldn't be paid to bare a child, an attorney should likewise not be permitted to receive financial renumeration for this transaction.
Whatever you incentivize you encourage more of. Surrogates get paid to bear a child for another family, but this bill would allow a mother to exchange her biological child for money. I think it's immoral and lowering human babies to the same level as cattle. Husbands used to be able to sell their wives too and I'm sure they had similar justification to yours.
Well I don't like the idea of selling people. But neither do I like the fact that others who contribute even less to the transaction are the wealth earners if the ordeal.
And while I'm on my high horse, if the mother shouldn't be allowed to sell her child, then nor should government adoption and child services agencies be allowed to receive money for their time in arranging the ultimate transfer of the child for which they are collecting money for their services. This reminds me of my rant against men being paid to be pastors of a church and then sending out the female missionaries to handle the preaching to savages in the jungle for nominal peculiar benefit. Whew....my rant for the night.
