On week 3 of a carnivore cleanse. Had no expectations, just wanted to clean ot the crud and reset.
Results so far:
-lost 18 pounds. -a clicking in one knee I've had forever went away. -hair and nails are growing faster. -lost a tendency to take a nap. -huge energy boost.
I'm probably forgetting stuff, but man I'm floored.
If this continues why would i rationally go back to eating food that affects me negatively.
This. Finishing up third month. Down 37 pounds and several inches with no additional physical activity. blood pressure at its lowest in 17 years.

July 1 I'm going ketovore because i miss some veg and my garden is producing. I also wish to stay above victim weight. BUt will have bread when my wife bakes it with a small handful of ingredients. No more store bought with 50 ingredients.
I've started the low carb diet with Intermittent fasting like I once did years ago and maintained a steady weight of 125 lbs for 25 years. It wasn't a planned diet back then, it just happened to work out that way and became my lifestyle. But thanks to a new husband from an Italian family with lots of pasta, forget the waistline. 2 weeks ago at the Doctors, my BP was up and my blood work said I was Pre-Diabetic. Well, TIME FOR A CHANGE. Forget the Pasta. Working on a healthy weight for my age and waistline.
This is week 2 and I have already lost 9 lbs. I keep my calories at around 1200 daily. On weekends I will have a carb or at least once a week I will have a carb meal in order to sustain my brain. KEK! Today I will have that carb meal of spaghetti with Italian sausage. Once I reach my ideal weight, I will raise my caloric intake to 1500 calories daily. Soon, (IF) all works well, I won't need to count calories, as it will come naturally like it once did.
And I know what you mean about the garden. I've been cooking a lot of fried squash, zucchini, fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob (carb) green beans, cucumbers and onions, salads, etc. My husband has spent a lot of time in the bathroom these last few days due to his change in diet. KEK! I told him to give his body time. It doesn't bother mine. Kek! So I make us a meat and then load the plate with lots of 'fresh' veggies I grew myself. No poisons, no spraying. Only fresh organic veggies. Bon appetit' my friend.

I can attest all that you said is 100% a fact. It is AMAZING how much BETTER I felt after 5 days. I lost 18 lbs in 5 weeks and I wasn't entirely strict. Just completely avoid ALL bread and PROCESSED sugars and you can sneak in a little rice or beans once a week. Paleo is hands down the easiest, most effective diet i have ever been in, and I have tried dozens.
Yum. Keto dieter here. The pounds don't fall off quite as fast for women but still getting close to goal. On 20 hours into a 48 hour water fast too. Enjoy your meat frens.
I was diagnosed with a 70% blockage of my LAD and it seems I got Pericarditis from an autoimmune issue from the Gulf War in 1991. It did not become bad enough to notice until recently. Now they are telling me I can't go Keto or Carnivore..........
Still trying to figure out where to go from here.....

I'm no doctor but I'm presuming they are basing their advice on the established medical guidelines, which are bullshit... let me guess they want you on a diet full of "whole grains", "healthy starches", low fat high carb lean meat vegetable oils etc
If you go pure carnivore and combo with some fasting (16hrs +) I'd bet that your issues become much better. But as always listen to your doctors. (but do some research on your own too, and consider finding a doctor who is informed on the recent discoveries around nutrition!)

I went on the carnivore diet and my cholesterol went up to 390. My doctor wanted me to go on statins. I decided to change my diet instead. I ate fish, beans, salads (everyday), vegetables, fruits, a little cheese (cause I like it). No grains, nothing processed, no refined sugar. I drank two cups of matcha tea every morning and also took 2 Bergamot capsules and 2 Omega-3โs every night. After 4 weeks my cholesterol went down to 290. Doctor still wanted me to go on meds. I told him Iโll test again in 3 months. Also, I never exercised during the four weeks and I lost 5 pounds.

Why are all the Asians so thin? The ones that haven't been corrupted by western food are always so thin.
They eat a lot of fish and rice, also seaweed.
FISH = Omega 3s.
But rice is supposed to be full of carbohydrates that make you fat.
True, but if that is their only carb and eaten in small amounts with fish which is low fat and low calorie, it balances out for them, I guess. Now obviously if you ate huge bowls of rice, it wouldnโt work.

I started eating a Keto only diet and lost roughly 40lbs in 8 months, then went carnivore only for 2 months. I can honestly say I felt great on both although the carnivore/beef only was monotonous after a while!
If you want to lose weight, and crucially cut out all the crap in processed foods, then look into Keto. It works well, but remember to drink plenty of water with salt (pink) added to the water. A few freinds have tried it and all have lost weight and feel much better, fasting is also part of my regime now.

Hmm, I'd say switch it up with different meats, different cuts of meats, eggs fish etc. Also salt your food to taste with the pink salt (no plastic salt grinders!) and you should be good on salt. I wouldn't want to drink salt water
Also I do eat some veggies, mostly lettuce or tomato, asparagus, sauerkraut... maybe spice things up and make a keto salad with beef taloe or bacon grease for the dressing, and chunks of meat and cheese in there or something! It's yummy. I call it a keto bowl

Himalayan Salt tends to have a lot of heavy metal contamination so the recommendations I've read from a few sources say to stick with Celtic and Redmonds instead. Redmonds is single sourced and in the USA too.

Yep. More important is that with Redmonds, you KNOW you are getting what they sell. Himalayan salts can come from just about anywhere. I researched the shit out of this last year. A lot of that shit comes from Pakistan. They label it as Himalayan. No oversight in Pakistan. They can dick around with the color and content and you will never know it.
