Wasn’t Ben Carson at the debate fielding questions int the “spin room” about Biden’s cognitive abilities afterwards? Pretty sure Trump had said his vp pick would be at the debate. I haven’t heard of anyone else that was at the debate that would be considered to be a possible vp pick.

I think Ben Carson is an excellent choice. He is by all accounts a really good person, would help gain more of the black votes, plus help to reduce the impact that exposing all of Obummer's crimes would have on black voters, etc.

I honestly doubt that. General Flynn isn't a well-known name enough to draw more fundraising money for Trump, or more votes for him. The vice presidential pick is his strategic to winning the presidency as it is an important seat to his campaign. Unfortunately Flynn only provides the ladder, and I don't see him providing the former.
Flynn is better known than Pence was at the time of his nomination. Outside of IN he was known for nothing. Flynn has national awareness among the far-Patriot and the far-Leftist camps.
