Kinda makes me think of the film Agent Argylle. The female character’s parents turns out to not be her parents they are her handler and the head of a Supra national evil organization that is headquartered on a huge oil tanker…
Maybe the parent(s) are obsessive-compulsive? Maybe they cleaned up ahead of time knowing they'd be getting a knock on the door? Maybe that was a contributing factor to their kid rebelling, growing long hair and looking like a mess? Maybe they really didn't live there?
