Let me tell you a first hand experience of how Kamala "gets things done."
I lived in he San Francisco area when my son was in kindergarten. We put him in public school because private is cost prohibitive up there. My son was top of his class. I had planned a week long trip to San Diego to wrap up "life chores" down there. I told the school I was taking my son out for a week. The school told me that if my son missed more than 3 days (I can't remember now if it was semester or year), then they'd call CPS on me and prosecute me for truancy.
At the time, the schools in CA got $35 per day per child (I don't know what the number is now). The schools all want their full amount of money, and they have no problem throwing a parent in jail who stop the school from receiving what the school believes it is entitled to.
One of my friends explained that Kamala started that policy when she was DA in SF, and that Kamala's amazing prosecution victory percentages were because she targeted low-income people with no ability to defend themselves. Kamala framed it as "ensuring children are properly educated."
She was the proud tie-breaking vote allowing the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act which gave the IRS greater resources to go after people not paying taxes on tips. The IRS created the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement Program along with enforcement notifications.
