Federal judge dismisses Trump classified documents case over concerns with prosecutor's appointment
A federal judge in Florida has dismissed the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump, siding with defense lawyers who said the special counsel who filed the charges was illegally appointed by the Justice Department.
Why is a month-old article pinned?

Is this a BOOM?
For now. It's a boom in a sense that because the courts are SO slow, the appeal will probably take place during Trump's presidential transition period or after he is president. At which point, he can commute any sentence, and then turn around and sue jack smith and the DOJ for harassment, lawfare, deprivation of rights under color of law; conspiracy against rights, conspiracy against civil rights; and intimidation of voters
doubleboom
Trump is going to sue them, like I said he should

It says it dismisses the case.
I thought this means it is over.
I'm sure the DoJ will appeal the dismissal.
Maybe, maybe not.
A month-old boom. The article is dated July 15th.
A BOOM is still a BOOM.
It was a boom a month ago. It is being posted like it is new news.
Thanks.
It was a bigger BOOM back when article was written July 15.
Thank you.
Should NEVER have been filed in a country of JUSTICE!
So punish those who sought to use The Law Itself! To harass an innocent person!
Dismissing a fraudulent case is NOT ENOUGH!
When Jack Smith/DOJ try to appeal, and if and when it fails on its appeal, it BETTER be 'with prejudice' so the matter is closed.
I'd also like to see an injunction against DOJ and Jack Smith specifically so he is no longer allowed to bring any more cases against Trump, ever, for the rest of his natural life. If they want to bring another grand jury investigation, it cannot involve Jack Smith.
AAaand boom, Trump is going to sue them

Did everyone miss this the first time around??
I did.
Who’s tired of winning?
That was July 15th, did something new happen?
Nope. I clicked the article and its date is July 15th. So just another person trolling for upvotes. That was a month ago. The headline is a lie. I wish this site was better modded.
Ironically, the upvote totals on GAW are completely worthless ... so what is the point? Unlike X, where the revenue sharing encourages rampant engagement farming, etc.
What an oxymoron for the JustUs Dept. to do ILLEGAL stuffs. ?
It's sad that only that is why it was tossed. It should never have been heard to begin with.
Yes, this linked article is from nearly a month ago, but apparently it set the stage for the boomerang - as Trump is now planning to sue the Potatus DOJ for $100M over this incident. I doubt very much that Jack Smith - or whatever his name is - will try to file an appeal over the ruling/dismissal OP is highlighting here.

I thought there was no such thing as “illegal” where the left is concerned - laws aren’t supposed to apply to THEM. “No one is above the law” - except THEM.
Old news!
