Not to mention they can end our manufacturing supply chain instantly.
Unless bidet/Kambama end it first
They cut off medications, you're going to see MILLIONS of people go into withdrawal or die. Can't believe how bad this globalism is.
Looks like North Korea had it right, but failed at it.
Self-sufficiency is the key. No more globalism bullshit that has put us at so much risk.
But nevertrump told me nationalism is raaaaacist!
I had a read a book on the state of our pharmaceuticals... I don't remember much, but we are not even allowed to make aspirin in this country. Because of some stupid treaty/agreement. Asprin!!!
Whoa, that’s crazy. If you remember the name of the book can you post it please?
Man I can't remember, I think I read it in my kindle- which is long gone. I'll look around and see if I copied onto another device.... or if I can get back into Amazon....
They could, but then all those dollars would stop flowing to them and their economy would suffer pretty quickly. It's a two way street...
While we make more and more in the US each year, there are still a lot of critical items made in China. With that being said, we as a manufacturing base can step up to meet the needs for most items. We don't do it today because we can't be competitive, but we have the technology.
We don't have the supply chains required, and you can't just retool factories at a whim for everything.
For example, take medicine and tech: China already manufactures the vast majority of the world's antibiotics, which is itself a major security risk that has been pointed out for years to no avail.
If China takes Taiwan, fabrication of complex technology drops to very low levels for us -- and fabs are complex and cost many, many fiatbux to build not to mention time as seen with Intel's AZ plants.
Warring just isn't feasible for us as we've been crippled from within.
Of course, all of that would have been avoided if we had elected officials who were focused on making this country great instead of weakening it for decades.
I could be wrong but I heard somewhere that Taiwan will destroy itself before China takes over.
I'm not sure. I've still personally been in favor of bringing fab workers and their families over here and providing them jobs training Americans in exchange for protection from China.
They'll see more prosperity here than working for scraps until they commit suicide in a Chinese plant and I think it's a pretty good deal for us.
A lot of skilled workers in those plants over there and it seems a waste to give them up to China without even offering a better and mutually beneficial path.
I do not disagree with you.
We have a lot of skill in this country and like I said, we can make most items, but we are screwed for a lot of very critical items.
We have a lot of skill, but we've also exported a lot of the experience and R&D of a lot of modern and future technologies and that's where a lot of the problems come in.
There are a lot of people who may be qualified for these jobs who require minimal training, but can't get them because they're in other countries and that's insane especially when a lot of these companies are U.S. based.
I really hate how things have gone due to years of infiltration in our government. Shame.
And end the population with a large bad batch of fentanyl…. Instantly
