Haven't ever had to present a wreath but I have presented folded flags to grieving family members. Very solemn and poignant, but beautiful in a way. Proud to have been able to do it [US Navy Honor Guard].
A group may honor U.S. veterans and members of the armed forces by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Public wreath ceremonies are limited to one per group per day, with a maximum of four participants in the ceremony. The wreath for the ceremony is provided by the participants.
Thanks - came here to post that. It is usually reserved for groups (like I posted the other day) such as Daughters of the American Revolution, Gold Star Moms, BSA, etc but the cemetery would never deny ceremonies like those 3.
~ 2:30 min mark, Trump and some other man are participating
~ 8:00 min mark or so, Trump + 3 women participate.
~ 14:20 3 more participants show up, Trump joins them
7 people, not including Trump or 3 ceremonies Trump is part of.
Does this prove anything?
IDK - It's still awful gray-area. I know what I believe, but that doesn't help anyone but me.
He is the ANC Superintendent. He is the SES that runs the place. I don't know if this one is any good, but I have my doubts since he allowed the Confederate Memorial to be taken down. The supe that was there when I worked there was a criminal that embezzled money from the cemetery, and then burned down the building that had all the evidence stored. He was eventually reprimanded for poor management when headstones were found in a stream, urns were in a dumpster, multiple bodies were put in an "unknown" grave, and people were buried in the wrong graves. P.O.S.
It was their ceremony and they asked the President to help them. Besides - it would be a bigger honor for their loved ones if a beloved CIC did the honors. I know I would want that myself...
I thought that any appearance in uniform with a presidential candidate during an election cycle was strictly forbidden. So unless Trump was there in his capacity as CiC, wouldn't the request for him to attend have been denied? Who can elaborate on the details of the military policy on this?
Trump is still CIC.
Definitely still CIC, 45 - 47, NOT 45 and 47!
The red folder Trump likes to display says it all. He enacted PEAD January 2021.
What’s CIC stand for?

Thank you, can’t believe I didn’t get this.
Commander In Chief…

Very solemn occasion. Nicely and reverently done. Yes, I do think something very important just occurred here.

Well actually you can.

Students from my granddaughter’s school participated in a wreath ceremony when they toured Washington DC.
One per group per day + maximum of four participants.

I welcome any comments.
The occupying administration did not call for that? matter of fact they we're avoiding it.
The family may have requested a non commie who love America attend the ceremony.
Who’s the guy with Trump?
That's what I'd like to nose.

I hope he’s good. Sounds like the last guy was a piece of shit
Is that soldier 7 feet tall?
Trump is almost 6’3”. That guy is towering over him!
Seriously
At least 7 and a half! Dude is huuggee.
I was thinking this too.
Why this soldier has invited all 3 other people first and them the President as last?
Really awkward to see it.
It was their ceremony and they asked the President to help them. Besides - it would be a bigger honor for their loved ones if a beloved CIC did the honors. I know I would want that myself...

For anyone who is military:
I thought that any appearance in uniform with a presidential candidate during an election cycle was strictly forbidden. So unless Trump was there in his capacity as CiC, wouldn't the request for him to attend have been denied? Who can elaborate on the details of the military policy on this?
I’d like to see members of the other services stand the guard mount alongside the soldiers of the 3rd Regt. Just once in a while, maybe quarterly.
That makes sense, and I am not sure if the subject was ever brought up before the military powers-that-be.
That’s the first thing I thought. How did they allow CIC Trump to get that ceremony done?
