Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
As everyone knows, I was, and will be again, the most respected LAW & ORDER President in U.S. History. We will take our streets back by being tough & smart on violent, & all other types, of Crime. In Florida, like so many other States that have already giv...
Here's my idea..Since the hard working farmers have been feeding us all this time. They should participate in the Marijuana profits. Why should they be denied this cash crop? 5% to 10% of gross sales should go into a fund that is distributed to Farmers year round. This will help cover monthly payments during the leaner months on the farm. Each farm gets 1 unit of participation for every 100 acres up to 300 hundred acres of active farms. I recommend having 400 acres and let 100 acres go fallow every year to lower the need for fertilizers with smart crop rotation and soil conservation. This way the wealth is spread out and it will help keep the costs of food down. .
This is a great idea!
Thanks phantom, I enjoy many of your posts and comments..
Glad you get some value from them!
I don't think this will change state laws.
The federal law is being ignored anyway.
Make Hemp Great Again! It has so many uses.
All the rope used against the high treason should be proudly grown American Hemp. You could even auction off the rope after. People would want that framed on their walls..
Rather than a tax that raises the price to the consumer and strips earnings from the dispensory owner which could go to paying the workers better wages so they have more money to buy more food from the farmers...
Consider lowering the regulations and stigma around growing it so the farms can grow it themselves in the off season and not lose any federal funding, loss of banking access, and things like that.
Farmers would have to follow the same rules on processing to ensure its safe for consumption of course, they'd have to sell their bulk output to a processor for testing and packaging. Concentrates, oils, flower, as long as its tested for pesticides and contamination.
The new product on the market would help stabalize the pricing, Small boutique growers and hobbyists would still be in demand like microbrewerys. Infused products would become more reasonably priced.
So you dont want them to have to produce a crop of marijuana, you want more farmer welfare?
There is a bigger picture in the design. If this system is implemented, there might not have to be welfare for the Farmer. This profit sharing might be enough to covers costs during rough seasons. You could change it that for every 100 acres they "Actively Farm", they have the Rights to license X amount of plants to a corporate grower. Again, why should anyone but Farmers be allowed to profit huge off of growing Marijuana? It's an honor to have a comment from someone who comments very little..;)
I just grew up on a farm and get sick of all the games with government money.
So many people make a living never intending to make a crop or even having the capability to do it. Yet they are raking in the money.
We always just grew crops and sold them.
This idea was a revenue sharing and not a tax. It was only for active farms. Any farm not active will not get any participation shares. How many 100 to 300 acre farms are active in the USA? Divide that by 7.5% of the gross sales of all Marijuana sold in the USA. Ideally, it will help reduce interest expenses on Farms because they have a supplemental income helping pay down debt. This will indirectly help reduce food costs.
I like the idea of helping & encouraging farmers, especially the small farmer but do we have to have another tax? All that does is make the need 4 more bureaucracy. Let's encourage farmers by getting off their backs! Let them grow & sell whatever they want to and yes, let them grow pot if they want to. If won't be a cash crop for long if everyone grows it, you know. how the market will do it's magic. We will have a lot of cheap pot everywhere. If the price drops that low, it won't make more people smoke it, in fact,it's more likely to do the opposite. What it will do is encourage more research into it. CDB oil is said to cure cancer & do other things like that. People will find use for something that is cheap & plentiful. Also, we will have a lot of good strong cheap rope! That alone will relieve the nylon rope / petro biz, which will be another way in which gas & heating oil will stay low & lower sti.l...
It's a Revenue sharing, not a tax. If you're going to buy weed, why not have some of the profits go into the pockets of the People who grow the food we eat. CBS oil has been sold in the USA for years. I prepared the cash flow projections & financial statements for a CBD plant being built in Portugal a few years back. This group were the first to bring it into Brazil where some of the cost was covered by Medicare for the individuals buying it for medical purposes.
Make Hemp legal. Hemp can be used to make paper, bio diesel, rope, biodegradable plastics. Think about the diapers in the land fills make of Hemp plastic degrading in a year. Hemp is the most useful plant on the planet. You can eat the seeds and even make a flour out of them. One acre of Hemp will produce more paper in a year than and acre of hardwood in 20 years. The reason it is illegal is because of Big Oil and the Paper industry. My rant is over.
Trump legalised help in his First term
Then I do not understand why the industrial hemp is not booming?
Oil industry. Everything is made from oil, not just refined fuels.
Hemp would cut into the profits of all kinds of textile and synthetics production that is currently supplied by oil. Breakup the beauracratic oil oligarchies protected by SES style fed agencies and then hemp would not only compete fairly, but probably prosper as a legitimate safer and cheaper alternative to oil being synthesized into textiles.
Delta 8 my guy. Go to any gas station kek. It's just hemp oil.

Cannabis is so amazing when done organically and so terrible when grown uncaringly.
The number one thing preventing quality is ignorance and greed.
Unfortunately widespread ignorance occurs when there are too many barriers for the average home gardener to learn the zen and joy of the process from seed or clone to harvest .
The best gardeners use conservative organic techniques which omit pesticides and ammonia-based nutes in favor of compost teas, guano, calcium and molasses.
The best way to create a responsibly-using society is to create a social construct that teaches honor and humility with the plant, which has happened to some degree on the west coast as a cancer treatment.
The over regulation is killing the market because it is unethically centered around marketing to new users, making the dispensary appear no better than a liquor store!
If we dont open up cannabis as a govt recognized primary cancer treatment, the war is lost on all fronts!
And if people dont have access to basic growing guidelines and organic principles, the merit-based market for hi quality at a low cost will evaporate.
Besides, certain strains smell unique and amazing, and many people agree are among the best scents in the world!
Hydrogenated "delta" weed is a lie and should be banned. Why we have hydrogenated peanut butter is a better question, in fact, why do we Hydrogenate anything?
Cannabis is so harmless that eventually it will be included in everything as it contains omega acids and I think thats why it was stigmatized for so long.
Its not about pro pot or anti pot Its about recognizing differences and agreeing to end blatant hypocritical attitudes that hurt conservatives more than democrats.
The war on drugs should include A-10 Warthogs in Mexico.
Don't forget the thunderbolts. Air Force guys should have some fun too.
Underrated comment. +1
At this point I suspect there might be a repeat of the Pershing Expedition in some form
Yeah I don't think he's just going to be busting the gangs in the US. I don't think there's going to be a pussy faggot 'war on drugs' either.
I think there's gonna be cruise missiles to Drug Lords houses. I think there's going to be special forces raids dragging people out of their countries to face the death penalty in the US. And I think any world leader in opposition is going to face the full force of an economic war against it.
Actually it should read re-legalizing.
When my parents were born cannabis was legal while alcohol was not.
And it's hard to make a case that the US has improved since then. Glad to see 47 is reversing that trend.
As a former heavy drinker, I replaced it with smoking weed, and I didn't find weed addictive. It is habitual, but I could go without smoking weed the rest of my life without an issue. I legitimately forget about it until I feel pent up and then remember "oh yeah I should smoke weed and play a video game once in a while to relax"
Common sense in a FREE NATION
As a child of the 60s/70s, I can attest to the growth and acceptance of pot, which was less potent in those days but still nice. It didn't take me long to realize that hanging around a bonfire with a bunch of stoned happy people was FAR LESS LIKELY to result in a burning, rowdy, killer-take-all brawl by the drunks.
The old joke is true: "A drunk driver blows through the Stop sign. A stoned driver stops and waits for it to turn green."
I learned early on, too, that you can't legislate behavior. If you want to change it, you have to address the demand side of that old darned Economic Equation. An old thesis of mine, actually, lol. Anyway....
Love seeing that minds are opening regarding THIS type of choice. Prohibition proved the truth of the Supply/Demand model.
Capitalism works for all who are willing to work. JMO.
I'm a child of this time too. I didn't smoke back in the day. Friends say I was a goodie two shoes but in my 60s I am a daily smoker. I have a ton of health issues that cause me pain. My homeopathic Dr had me on the highest legal script for gabapentin. I slured my words and forgot conversations so searched for a more natural solution. I buy from a backyard grower rather than a pot shop. You never know whats in that. Tried gummies and I can't afford them. I have a cousin who is a hippie in the truest sense. She is fighting leukemia with pot.
Capitalism works in the drug trade too!
I have recently learned that juicing the leaves and or buds is very beneficial. Hemp has been stifled by the cotton industry and Monsanto. Cannabis has been stifled by Big Pharma because it will decimate their profits when the truth comes out. I can’t wait to see the day Big Pharma are totally destroyed.
The party of common sense.
I don't think people know how much people smoke...it's not alot....legal grows are up to their necks in it..prices are way down..Cali been shipping those moving pods all over for years...the answer is keep the govt out of it completely..100% decriminalize and allow citizens to grow their own..govt has no moral right to profit after declaring war on us..taking our fortunes..sometimes out freedom
There can never be freedom where a green vegetable is illegal.
I took it to mean that he was all for honoring what 'we the people' voted for. Since this is what they want, we need to make sure it's in personal size amounts.
Wonderful, now everyone is going to reek. Thanks.
everyone isnt going to smoke, everyone who does weed isnt necessarily going to smoke it, and in all likelyhood there will be fewer dui crashes so less dead innocents. so your "problem" is moot
It only takes one.
what does that even mean dude?
