it's either the US govt bureaucrats (according to pharma company), or the pharma company itself (according to US govt bureaucrats). pick your poison. i reckon it's both
I'm no expert, but don't these European countries all have socialized healthcare? Their taxes go to supplementing the costs of these "medicines" for their own citizens (plus migrants). Meanwhile, the USA accounts for 40% of the world's military spending. Last year, the US had committed $48bil in military aid to Europe, substantially more than all European countries combined. Our tax money here in the states is spent on the protection of the EU which allows these countries to offer cushy subsidies to its citizens. Great deal for us Americans, isn't it? Our grandparents sacrificed themselves to win a war and their children are forever sacrificing their hard earned money to keep the world safe.
this USA = knight in shining armor mindset is baffling to me. it didn't even apply to WW2 when you start to learn what actually happened, and the fact that washington will happily sacrifice millions upon the altar of geopolitics doesn't mean those people died for a worthy cause, or that europe should be even further in debt to them as gratitude.
"protect europe"? from what? from the russia they intentionally antagonize? because it's certainly not protecting europe from the millions of migrants that are taking the opportunity to run away from the shitholes that USA keeps carpet bombing. europe and russia had been getting along fine since USSR fell, and that PRECISELY was the problem for washington. that was and is the sole purpose of nato expansionism. it needs europe to be dependent on it, as vassal states. it needs an external threat to achieve that. this is how geopolitics works. there is no altruism. EU leaders in return invariably support US foreign policy. it's a protection racket.
but anyway, of that figure you referenced, it wasn't aid sent to "europe", it was ukraine (should have been obvious but whatever), another CIA-sponsored designer war. you can see how UK, France, Portugal and Norway received laughable amounts of US military foreign aid in 2023:
Do you really think any European government or the EU are in the least capable of forcing big Pharma or the US government of granting us lower prices? It is more likely that the highest possible price will be demanded, and that price is likely to be higher in the United States.
They're not so much with this subject: pharmaceutical drugs. Bureaucracy and lobbying is a much bigger problem than European medical consumers and manufacturers.
Agree, but burgers and pizza in and of themselves are not bad. It's the poisons found in them and the cooking ingredients that are the underlying issue.
Maybe and remember - that's genetics" or "you simply have fat bones" /s
Bro,there is a reason we call it in Europe "junk food". Except maybe Brits - they too love bathing in fat and being faaaaat (but we too have growing obesity problems in Europe because healthy food prices are growing crazy)
I don't know you like Vance or not (not being in GAW for a looong time),but even he mentioned in his book that proper diet (combined by experts of US military) instead of eating junk food took part in changing his life after boot camp and service for better.
Burgers and pizza = Too much fat and carbohydrates released TOO FAST to your blood => sugar level skyrocketing in blood => diabetes. Those carbohydrates in Burgers and pizza release sugar (glucose) for very short time -> you will soon be hungry again -> so you will overeat over and over again -> being fat and diabetes.
It is reasonable to disagree with this statement. People are eating far less than 100 years ago and we exercise more, but obesity has gone from a very rare disease that you might go to a specialist for to the norm.
People don't need to eat less, either through drugs or self control. People need to raise their metabolisms.
or maybe you stop gobbling burgers and pizzas 24/7 so u wont need bigpharma miracle medicines in the first place (plot twist it causes thyroid cancer)
True.
But we need to stop allowing Europe to steal from us.
"europe" isn't stealing from you

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/countries-that-receive-the-most-foreign-aid-from-the-u-s
also this page has a cool graph at the bottom where you can select different countries to see how much US military aid they received over the years:
https://usafacts.org/articles/how-much-does-the-us-give-other-countries-in-military-aid/
sadly it stops short at 2020 but that graph for ukraine for the last 4 years is absolutely retarded by comparison:

NOT EUROPEAN CITIZEN'S FAULT. FFS. But you go right ahead and buy into the media division.
You are correct.
I meant the European government.

Incorrect.

and canada and mexico and ...
I heard GMO is making people fat. Not to mention all the other food related chemicals going into our food that are BANNED in Europe.
true

Nothing wrong with burgers and pizza in principle, just don't eat it every single day and source better ingredients.
Burger is fine for every meal… and it’s the crust on pizza that is the issue.

yeah it was mostly hyperbole for the overall american bad habits & bad ingredients
Really the bigger point.
It looks like a fatty didn’t agree 😆

I'll just sit back and wait for age and metabolic slow down to catch up with you. LOL! It happens to everyone.
