I've done this where I show up to vote and they said, "You can't vote, you requested mail-in ballot and you've been sent a ballot." "Go get that ballot and mail it in!" I asked if they would give me a provisional ballot to vote that day, and they would not.
I've also hand carried my mail-in ballot already filled out and signed and sealed. I asked if I could open it and send it through the machine to be counted while I waited and verified that it did get counted and they said, "No!" "They have to verify your signature and everything!"
And I said, "Why can't you verify it right now, and I can then put it through the machine and confirm for myself it gets counted?"
They said, "No. Put your ballot in here and it will get counted." They pointed to a big giant steel lockbox placed in the room. I asked them, "How often do these votes get picked up and counted?"
The woman replied that the steel box is picked up and emptied every day. So I dropped it in there, which was 2 days before the actual day of voting. I went online the next day to see if it was counted and it was not. For 4 more days it was listed as "Not Received". On the 5th day it was listed as "Accepted". But by then, the election had already been called for the other guy!
So, I think this is a loophole where they WON'T count those brought in, because they know all of them are going to be Trump supporters.
And, they say, that if there is no 'postage date stamp' on the ballot it will not meet compliance and will be discarded and not be counted.
So, did my 'in-person hand-carry' cause it to be set aside and not counted because there was no return postage stamp on it showing it was mailed back?
Perfect example of why his suggestions won't work. Because the "I'm just doing my job" folk will blindly continue to follow orders. Nothing will change.
I don't like the advice to "Lie and say you're at a retail establslishment! Don't say polling place!"
What happens when they ask the name of the store?
If you get past that little thicket, what happens when the sheriff shows up, gives you the grim jaw and says lying to law enforcement personnel in order to trick them into sending him under false pretenses is against the law?
Very well explained. I do agree, this won't work. The system is thoroughly rigged and leftist judges will NOT rule for you. They will put it off. Very simple. They will postpone their decision for say 90 days. You're cooked. It ends right their. He's giving a very simplistic way of doing something that will be stopped at the judicial level.
People don’t realize that absentee ballots are often counted after Election Day but before canvassing. Thus their ballots aren’t used to declare a winner if enough votes are obtained by in person voters. But your vote is still counted.
My advice is don't request an absentee ballot be sent to your home Vote in person instead if you want your vote to count on election night
This kind of stuff should only be attempted by folks who are confident in their understanding of their local election laws, and ideally who know their election clerks and how the clerks will react.
In our state they are generous with provisional ballots, but it sounds like for u/CasuallyObservant that was not the case.
A voter doing this is going to confuse the average clerk mightily. Requesting a mail in ballot and not mailing it in will be a "How would you feel if you hadn't had breakfast yesterday?" sort of moment for many of them...

It makes me wonder if a sheriff could get you for calling them out to a "retail location" and when they show up to the polling place (mine is at a church for example), they get you for "lying to an officer" and just wasting their time.
Far too many steps, each one of which can go wrong or simply fail to occur. This is a very Rube Goldberg kind of "system" if all you want to do is vote. What if a deputy does NOT show up? What if the deputy ignores your claim and thinks it's beyond his/her jurisdiction? Just too many links in this. It's almost Byzantine in its many pieces and parts.
I just show up for early voting, bank my vote in case anything happens that I can't make it on election day, and trust the system BECAUSE I live in east Tennessee where we have an excellent election process.
Jeez, don't discourage others just because you can't figure it out.
This is a method to not only ensure your vote gets counted, but to start an investigation and hold people accountable.
you don't have to go the extra mile, but this is powerful information for restoring election sanctity.
Oh, I can "figure it out" it's just jumping through a lot of hoops that might not be necessary UNLESS you live in one of "those states" where Dem cheating is rampant. I don't, so good luck with your technique, hope it works out like you plan.

that's irrelevant here, because these instructions expose how votes are being stolen, which makes our position at the precipice stronger. exposure is the whole point.

This is good. Except printing the ballots should be substituted for mailing them out. Due to where we are in the process. I hope we already had an organized effort to already do this.

Seems like a way to not get your vote in for Trump. If everyone did this it would be a cluster.
It doesn’t scale. What happens when thousands of people request this. Idiotic plan. I don’t trust anything from that guy.
