So, did the illegals sign a document saying they have to repay? We actually have no idea what requirements the govt has levied on them. They obviously know who they are and where they are for them to get anything, but, if hurricane victims have to repay, don’t ya think they should too? It’s not too late for the govt to go make them sign a document.
Probably so, but the politicians know we will use the money (and it should be much more) and they don't have a way to "money launder" what they actually give to Americans, like they do with Ukraine, the unions, illegal aliens, and probably any government agency.
"My insurance settlement hasn't come through yet. Can FEMA help me before it comes?
Maybe. If there's a delay in your settlement, more than 30 days from the date you filed your claim, you may apply for assistance from FEMA. You'll need to explain the reason.
You must provide proof that you filed the claim. If you filed online or over the phone, you must provide the claim number, the date you applied, and an estimate of how long it may take to get your settlement.
Any funds you then get from FEMA will be an advance and must be repaid when you get your settlement.
Does disaster assistance have to be repaid?
It depends on the type of assistance you get.
You don’t usually have to repay assistance from FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program (IHP). But if you tell FEMA there's a delay in your insurance settlement, any money we pay you would be an advance. You must repay this when you get your settlement.
IHP only helps with vital needs. So most disaster help from the federal government is through low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). You must repay those loans.
Are you an idiot? I'm sincerely asking... have you researched to see how many hurricanes have hit the mountains there?
As for you saying we shouldn't build in places these regulary occur nor give to people who build there is idiotic, especially considering how much of our tax dollars go overseas. I would much rather have that money go to my fellow CITIZENS.
As someone who was impacted by this storm I respectfully am telling you to fuck all the way off.
We aren't talking about rebuilding millionaire's beachside mansions. We're talking about folks up there where some of them have dirt floors. Go somewhere else with that, your type isn't welcome and that is probably true for you in real life too. Miserable, sad, pathetic excuse for a human.
Can’t build in California. There’s earthquakes can’t build in Kansas. There’s tornadoes can’t build anywhere in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama or Florida cause there’s hurricanes. You are one smart fella.
Lots of TALK about this topic, but as of yet not a single piece of evidence.
Not a single FEMA contract, a glimpse of the alleged contract.
Until we see proof, it's just a theory. A verbal only theory
I am with you. Show the contract that says this. Otherwise it is just rumor, hearsay and conjecture

I dealt with FEMA after Ian. 100% you choose FEMA funds OR insurance. You don't get both. Our church did more for us than FEMA.
There is a FEMA document that says you have to pay it back when you receive your insurance money
Ok, Then we need to demand our representatives put that payback clause in all foreign aid packages too.
nah, we need to demand our representatives stop all foreign aid packages!
If that's true, be sure to list your second home in Donbas, Ukraine.
You may be require to pay it back when your insurance covers the some or all of the amount. Here is the sauce:

The check is in the mail.
Pure EVIL

So this is just someone else's take on the post we have all seen about this being a loan and the super-fine print and such? smh - zero new info here.
I hope so, we shouldn't be helping people who live in places that this happens regularly.
Stop building in paths of reoccurring hurricanes maybe?
Are you an idiot? I'm sincerely asking... have you researched to see how many hurricanes have hit the mountains there?

All please be respectful please. I know this is a heated topic, but please chill. This is a kind and clear warning. Thank you.

This was not a normal path, much of the devastation was in places that had not experienced a storm like this so far inland before.
Then there's virtually nowhere on earth you can build thats safe from natural disaster that isn't a desert.
Never been in a sand storm huh?
Yeah but a sandstorm wont delete a town
