PDJT loves nice things (the lovely first lady, his hotels, golf courses, buildings, etc. tell us that), America is his/our pride and joy. I believe he will make sure our culture, architectural wonders and landscapes will be the envy of the world. Imagine, American innovation unleashed in modern times and told to go and create without government interference!!

Imagine what a beautiful place this would be if we spent OUR money on our cities. Beautiful buildings, beautiful public spaces, safe cities, shops without bars, fountains, parks……
Imagine if we got to spend our money on our own family!
We have so many architectural styles to choose from in the USA,
We ought to bring back the City Beautiful Movement
Don't forget hostile architecture. Public spaces that hurt or discourage you from enjoying the park. Now get back to your 15 minute prison bigot.
Right!? Cities used to be designed to make it a joy for citizens to walk through the streets, browse in shops, sit on a park bench and enjoy an outdoor space with fountains and places for people to gather. Now cities are joy-less, and unsafe, and unclean. It really does start to feel like a prison.
Just take a look at Savannah or Charleston... gorgeous and walkable! 💕
Savannah used to be awesome. I’m from there and I’ve also lived in Charleston. I would no longer feel safe walking after dark in either of these cities unfortunately. In fact I remember thinking Denver felt so much safer when I moved there years ago. Unfortunately Denver is too dangerous to do that now as well :/
I know and hate that but feel it will soon change when people are held accountable again.
How wonderful that Savannah is your hometown and you lived in Charleston! We've been to both several times and want to go back. The people are so kind and I'd go back for the She-Crab Soup alone!
The first time we went to Charleston I told my husband that I wanted to stay at the Old Citadel which is now a hotel and full of history! The Courtyard is till there where they matched drills and paraded horses around the old stables! Loved it!
There is definitely a lot of history there and southern hospitality is still a thing for sure! I hope you get to make it back down there again, I’m planning a visit down there to see my family next year.
How great! Enjoy your family!
Here's the Old Citadel where we stayed in Charleston...

That’s so awesome. I’d love to stay there for the history alone!
Here's the hotel...

Yes, meant for people to be out, free. Treats for the senses, beautiful buildings and greenery. Cheap fun. You walk and get good exercise, you get fresh air and vitamins D, you interact with other people, you RELAX!
Have we forgotten this PDJT Executive Order? He’s on top of this as well! https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-promoting-beautiful-federal-civic-architecture/
I never thought of it that way. I was confident however after hearing him say time after time that: the best is yet to come but you're right! Trump is a man of his word and more importantly, his follow-through. And despite his hyperbole, he doesn't say things he doesn't mean or can't produce. I am so grateful for this man..............
Make art, music, manners and attire beautiful again. All of these have been perverted in an organized attack to make every day in America like Halloween.
I have a beautifully crafted real wood dresser that is well over 100 years old and is gorgeous with inlaid wood and dovetail construction. Strong and beautiful and will last forever, not like this pressed board crap that our landfills are full of. Things used to be high quality, meant to last generations.
I volunteer at a museum and we help to restore stuff. It's very satisfying for me.
Exactly. Build & buy stuff that you can use without constant maintenance and lasts so long you can hand it down to future generation(s). Take a look through your house and look what you have that's capable of that and you quickly see where we started going wrong.
Well said!
And exactly how is the government going to accomplish that?
Is Trump going to pass laws that only certain types of art, music, and attire can be created?
And what laws is he going to pass that will change anyone's manners?
And who gets to decide what type of art and architecture and attire is going to be approved?
While it's nice to think that just because Trump is going to be in office, people will suddenly start behaving better, or dressing nicer, it's nothing but fantasy.
Seriously, does anyone have any sort of idea of how this stuff is going to be accomplished?
Because the only thing that Trump would have any sort of control over is perhaps new construction of government funded projects. Like what FDR and the New Deal did. And that's not what we need right now.
But all this complaining about how people dress, or the art that is being made, or the quality of furniture is absolutely ridiculous. It has nothing to do with who the President is. You're all wanting the government to dictate to people what they can wear, and what type of art they can make, and tell companies how they can make goods, and to enforce manners.
It's like all of you were suddenly dropped on your heads and all your sense got knocked out of you.
Take that communist dictator shit somewhere else.
There’s room for hopeful positivity. We don’t know what’s been going on in the background already in terms of wealth reappropriation or settlements, or how any of this is going to impact us or be sent out to or taken from the people. There was an executive order posted above, and there are many things that could be in the realm of possibilities, both public and private.
I’ve tended to point toward being aware of extreme “you’re on your own / government minimalism” endpoints, as preparations would need to be made for that, but there will still be federal buildings and inspiration, promotion ,and incentives structures are all things that exist.
Putting this here to avoid spamming you. This needs to be said to everyone who buys off Amazon instead of looking around for independent artisans, which is much easier said than done. Even for someone who tries to go with independent makers, it’s difficult to stay ahead of them being bought out. Gab has independent shops listed. How many people shop there? Badlands has a small shop, how many people even know what’s listed there? Where are other shops at? They can be found driving around in the country, but Google maps won’t show them easily. We all need to work on promoting independent businesses, and then business-cards-at-a-popular-local-restaurant model… I can’t say it doesn’t work, but I’ve never bought from one of those.
Also watch out for this

It’s definitely not just a “corporate greed” problem, though. We have had a very long period of malincentives, and not enough people have been trying to fight back as buyers, or by starting their own manufacturing operations. We’ve all had a hand in getting where we are, you and I included.
I am getting the sinking feeling that GAW has fallen quite far from its status as an elite research board.
You and me, both.
Cut back all the fees, taxes, permits and other BS and just watch how some of us accomplish this on our own and show others how to as well. You don't need to dump your iPhone 253 just because the new iPhone 254's are out. Look for and buy quality.
Perhaps the wholesale defeat of evil, will improve life across the board!
With love, faith, and hope. This destruction has been intentional by evil people. Take away their power and the choking ugliness will evaporate.
If life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are allowed (Less Government, not More Government), everything will improve.
You must be young.
And you must be delusional.
It worked in Trumps first term, so………
What did? Being delusional?
The Country was thriving under Trump and there were no wars. These wars have cost USA billions and billions of dollars and apparently we stupidly are funding BOTH sides. Imagine the beautiful buildings we could build with all those billions. Imagine all the good paying jobs.
Or those billions could just go back to the taxpayer. Which is what the standard saying is here. I thought taxation was theft. Or is taxation OK as long as we build pretty stuff with it? (Hope everyone has the same idea on what's pretty.)
There were no new wars breaking out, true, but I'm pretty sure there was something to do with Trump dropping 59 cruise missiles on Syria. And Iran launching missiles at our military in Iraq after Trump authorized the killing of the Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani.
I'm quite sure not of that was thar?
Edited to add: It's also weird as hell how the military's budget increased every year Trump was in office, even though we weren't in any wars...
I'm a teacher, and the way kids dress now looks like a Mad Max movie. It's depressing. The girls walk around in ripped up jeans, ratty crop tops, tacky leggings, and boots. The boys walk around in black hoodies and black jeans. Their fashion is just a symptom of their spiritual illness, which is no fault of their own. This is what the evil ones created: a dystopian, hopeless mindset reflected in all forms of art.
Yes! Clothing and shoes used to be well made and beautiful. Made to last not throw away after 6 months. Talk about Green, this alone would prevent so much garbage! Clothes today are poorly made and I’ll fitting, ugly, almost uniform like, and generic. It’s demoralizing and dehumanizing.
So true.
We need a better design from the one we have now - housing developments surrounded by highways that funnel people to stressful jobs and ugly big box stores. Communities used to be beautiful back in the day.
Yes! The housing looks like prison buildings and every city has the same old stores and restaurants and cheaply made goods. We need variety! We need quality! We need Made in the USA!
MABA!
⭐✨🌟
cant wait
Whare did all the pride and artisty go. My sons school has an auditorium built in the 1960s. It's beautiful, the attention to detail is amazing. It's old neglected, has broken doors and sealed off areas. But in it's heyday it was rich and inviting. Now you can still see the grandeur amongst the neglect. Our MODERN buildings today a cheep ugly and drab. Even our new library looks like shit. Stupid tube's cut off at 45 degree angels. Spiral walkways that decend down into nothing. Just artsy FARTSTY, bullshit. Now we lost parking for this ugly boil, on the ass of the building. Their are now only 17 parking spots left. Almost all of them are for handicap. I hope their is a Renaissance for the older beautiful architecture of yesterday.
It became unimportant when the construction companies building them decided profits were more important to them than artistry or quality.
It's exactly the same thing that happened to clothing, furniture, and other goods that people are complaining about here.
If you want someone to be angry at, go look at the CEOs and owners of the companies that produce the things you're complaining about. Look at how much their salaries and golden parachutes are worth. Then you have your answer to why everything is crappily made.
Unless Trump is planning on putting a salary cap on everyone and making laws dictating what they can manufacture, there's nothing he can do about it. And I sincerely doubt the old- school Republicans are going to be in favor of government dictated salary caps for anyone.
Corporate greed is the main issue here, and I seriously doubt that Trump, of all people, will do anything to stop it.
YES! YES! YES! ☝️ u/Weneverleft
I on the other hand agree with the poster of this post. However; that said, the Left/Commies will riot and force the hand of Trump, if he wins, to call in the military. All the Left/Commies and MSM will report how right they were in that Trump is a Fascist and is using the military against US citizens (and some of them will probably be our citizens) so they will win another narrative-but that is not what will be going on. Trump will be trying to clean up and clean out America of all the turncoats. It will have to be with the military and other forms of our government-such as tribunals instead of court trials-as these people won't stop, ever, or forever. We must remember this and not let it happen again in the future. They count on American's short memories.
One of the things that makes my State beautiful is the fact that billboards were removed from public roads, it does make a big difference. There is no need for them anymore, advertisements are digital, and work better anyway. A rustic cabin is beautiful to me, maybe not to another. There was so much beautiful architecture in NYC, every building had artistry to it, neighborhoods showed pride, the urban improvements bulldozed this and built institutional buildings, where an apartment complex, an office building does not look much different than a prison. Which is appropriate, so many of Americans are in a prison, on autopilot, mechanical, the harshness of reality and the lack of conscious design has numbed the masses. Money only allows us to build the prison walls higher and higher, no sun gets through. The walls of Jericho must come down, and then, let humanity, in the image of God, free of satanic influence, will blossom. We cannot make it as heaven, only heaven is heaven and our minds are limited in what that dimension will be for those of us who are promised it, but we can come to our full potential because we were created with that in mind, in God's mind. We are not a fleeting thought in the mind of God, we are his cherished children who were born into this time for a purpose. I pray that this is all over soon, I wish to live a monastic life, simple beauty. We can live in a world that works with nature and follows it's design. When a man's soul is ugly, so are his creations.
Beautifully said..👏
start with keeping the litter picked up in our town
When my boys were little we went for walks daily and picked up litter. It still amazes me that such a simple activity can instill all kinds of good lifelong habits, both mentally and physically.
I'm imagining an end to all the atrocious, dystopian, insidious modern art we've suffered for decades in all its forms: paintings, sculptures, architecture, music, movies, writing, and even fashion. And I look forward to the return of classic beauty, creativity, and imagination in our everyday lives. It'll be like heaven.
And how exactly do you see that happening? Is Trump going to outlaw modern art and dictate to private construction companies the style of buildings they want to make?
No, I don't think Trump will have to outlaw it. Marxists have always been behind this postmodern art movement, which is what I should have said instead of modern. When their time is over, and when they are removed from positions of power in the government and replaced in major universities, we will see a return of beauty. That's my hope.
Government building goes to the lowest bidder. The type of architecture you're talking about is cheap to produce. Hence, the lowest bidder.
So unless you're wanting the government to be spending much, much more on construction costs (to employ skilled craftsmen and purchase more expensive materials), then you're not going to be seeing any beautiful new architecture any time soon.
Unless you'd be ok in approving higher taxes in order to build nicer looking buildings?
Does the beatification include no more Blue Haired Karen’s? Askin for a fren.
Unless you're going to go on record for the Trump administration to start denying US citizens their First Amendment rights, I'm going to say that's a big "no".
Seriously, are you people even listening to yourselves?
Typical GAW nowadays: No research and only circle-jerking over theories and whatever makes us feel good.
The reason why I am visiting this board less and less.
Got tired of all the rage porn, huh? Started feeling queasy when people would just treat third hand info from random Twitter accounts as gospel coming right from Jesus? Yeah. Me, too.
It was a joke dear.
Sure it was. Because this entire post isn't about imposing your (that's the impersonal "your", though it would be hilarious to see you all try to agree on what art, architecture, and fashion should look like)personal tastes on the entire country. Dear.
I think you’re missing the point. Less control unleashes creativity, not more control.
What government control is there at the moment that you believe is responsible for these issues, that you believe Trump will change?
The same thing he did the first time, remove redundant, pointless regulation that discourages investment because of the time and money required. Lower tax rates so investors have incentive to invest and successful builders are not penalized for their success. Maybe get rid of green new deal, carbon whatever requirements ( which just seem to be another added on tax), get the cost of energy down so the cost of materials goes down. Stop illegals from flooding the country and taking up resources that could be spent on our deteriorating infrastructure. Create incentives for companies to bring manufacturing back to USA. Let people thrive and make money, and live better. it was only 4 years ago that this happened. I remember.
Wait, if he already did that during his term, why did nothing change? Was there a huge Renaissance of architecture, clothing, and manners during his time in office I'm unaware of?
The biggest issue you're ignoring is greed. Remember that tax break Trump gave to big business when he was in office? How people said it was going to create so many great jobs with benefits? But instead the businesses mainly used it to buy back their own stock, making bundles of money for themselves?
How is Trump going to change that?
Our infrastructure is sadly third rate at this point. China and Japan are so far ahead of us. All US infrastructure needs upgrading big time. Bridges, High speed rail, Architecture upgrades and modernization, new and better pavements with recycled plastics and other materials that prevent potholes and disrepair. The whole country should look like Mar a lago, and it would if our tax dollars were not stolen and sent abroad and into bad actors hands.
I agree. But we've literally sent trillions to foreign nations and started foreign wars.
I’m just sad how long it will take
Enforcing the laws would change the landscape immensely.
Which laws do you mean?
Theft, destruction of property, assault, trespassing, illegal immigration.
Thank you.
Please, just deport the illegals and fix the bridges.
I can't wait to get my own gold toilet. 😂
What's the plan for the addicts..the gangs..the general lawlessness ?
Don't forget the ten new cities we'll build on federal land, and the hover cars...
And I reckon Uncle John's furtherance of Tesla's work will figure in here as well.
I've been saying this for a long time. Want jobs? Large beautification projects. All sorts of things can be done. Greening roofs in the big cities would help with cooling them down too.
I always love the idea of highspeed rail. We could do that along with these beautification projects and put millions to work. It could be financed through short term (7 year bonds), a mix of investments from government and private sector. And local initiatives too.
Are there going to be roid rages and sudden bouts of hunger? 🤔😁
