With Bitcoin almost hitting 100k, what are your thoughts and is it worth buying now because it'll only go up from here? Or will their be a dip opportunity?

Sorry fren.

Bear Stearns is fine.
I bought a year ago, last November, when it was at $43k and I was so upset that I procrastinated because it was only $25k a couple of months prior. Then I bought more when it was at $56k, and again, I was nervous that I was buying at too high of a price.
Moral of the story: In hindsight I wish I would have bought more, at any price.
Also up 3x on XRP with average cost 50 cents.
Rumors are that Trump is going to cancel Capital Gains on crypto.
Meanwhile I've been sitting on silver for years and am at a break-even on that (so far) but I guess I'll just have to be patient with silver.
See my comment on MSTR. All the crypto exchanges blocked me from transferring to private wallet because I refused to comply with KYC digital ID process. None are complying with actual LAW (as of now) which requires an alternative method. KYC “rule and regulation” is unconstitutional as of July 1, 2024 (SCOTUS rulings) and all crypto exchanges using it are committing fraud.
When is the best time to buy bitcoin? When you buy bitcoin, Dollar cost average so you can smooth out the highs and dips. I started this past March12. I now have $2300 invested and have a profit of $1125. I buy through River Financial. They do not charge a fee if you have a recurring order (you only get charged on the first buy). They now let you deposit cash (which you can withdraw if you need it) and the cash earns 3.8 percent interest in bitcoin. I have started to add cash every week.
Max Keiser just posted on X that 1 bitcoin will be $200,000 in six months. Max is the ultimate bitcoiner.
how the hell are you supposed to pay taxes on that bitcoin that was earned as interest on that cash through River financial? that seems cool but i just don't want to deal with taxes tbh.
I'm wondering about the unrealized gains on his purchase. Say if BTC goes to $200K and was purchased at $75K, then at the end of the year there will be unrealized gains. Yet, I suppose, next year if for some reason tanks to $1k, will he get a tax break on unrealized LOSSES?
Maybe it will work like mutual funds. I have a mutual fund in a brokerage account that re-invests gains to buy more shares, I only pay taxes or that re-investment amount.
Yes you do have to pay taxes on it. River calculates the tax documents for you, I remember when I did last year's taxes, you were asked about crypto.
It’s worth something as long as people are willing to buy it from you.
Look at Dogecoin. Might find a sleeper there.
I jump onto xrp at the right time 2 weeks ago
I bought when it was .15. Now at almost .41. If it is connected to Elon it will be massive in the future.
Doge is old, shib has more overhead, the 3rd and final dog coin is FLOKI
I don’t think bitcoin will be dipping much anytime soon. I use Gemini Exchange for buying, it’s owner by the Winklevoss twins. It is subject to NY financial laws. I would advice against buying through platforms in other countries.
Yes only buy from an exchange in the USA.
Bitcoin..was going to be the Bait and the SWITCH...was going to be..CBDC :(
No, BTC to slow and crappy, XRP is fast and already used, XRP/ETH are the JPmorga/goldman saches of cryptos.
I wish I had taken out that loan when it dropped to 10k.. gonna be kicking myself forever on that one.
There are several factors that only you can decide. Do you want to trade or invest? One time large buy in, or dollar cost averaging by buying some regularly? Your intentions should inform your decisions.
You might also want to study Bitcoin price pattern over the last several years. There are definite cycles. Right now it is ripping. Who knows how high it'll go this cycle. Some say 120k, some say 200k. But at some point it will probably have a big drop again, and then slowly build up again to a new high.
You don't have to buy Bitcoin, there are several proxies you can use. Stocks like COIN, MSTR, MARA, WULF and others more or less move with Bitcoin. But beware, they can be extremely volatile. MSTR closed Wednesday at 475, opened Thursday at 540 and proceeded to drop to less than 400 by the end of the day. That is quite the rollercoaster ride.
Probably the most stable is to invest in a Bitcoin futures based ETF. I believe the one with the biggest asset base currently is IBIT. I also have some BITO, their price lags BTC somewhat, but they have a monthly dividend that you of course can reinvest.
There are also ETFs that offer different strategies. BITX is a 2x leveraged product, more or less 2x the growth, but of course, also 2x the loss of it goes bad. SBIT is an inverse product you can buy when BTC is going down.
Self custody Bitcoin indirectly by holding MSTR, MARA, RIOT, TSLA, COIN shares (top 5 holders, US listed) at the transfer agent (tell broker to send to TA) in your own name (not custodial brokerage). Microstrategy (MSTR) is Michael Saylor’s company.

If you want to avoid the unconstitutional KYC digital ID bullshit implemented fraudulently at all crypto exchanges, then fuck them all over by buying MSTR, supporting the “infinite money glitch” with leverage (issuing bonds in fiat to buy Bitcoin), AND short squeezing the banker/broker shorts all at once (they have shorted ~15% of MSTR publicly traded shares).
It may turn out to be even better than holding BTC directly, and I have the crypto exchange retards to thank for this discovery.
so bitcoin was average 50k, now it's 100k, how many percent increase is that, 100% - 2 folds? So if you invested 10k like a normal middle class family, now you get an extra 10k. If you're a bigger whale and invested 200k, now you get an extra 200k. If you're a millionaire, maybe you'll buy 1-2 million, so now you just doubled it. How high do you think it'll go up to? to 200K? if you buy 100k now you'll double your money when it reaches 200k. My question is, is it really worth it?
Meanwhile, XRP, XLM just went up 200%.. so if you invested 10k, now you have already tripled your money. Just saying.. it's all about percentages.

The modest amount of bitcoin I had I traded for XRP today.
I will just stick with my name, and the ISO20022 tokens. I truly hope everyone makes a shit ton of cash though, good luck all and don't forget to take profits, and have an exit plan, good luck again
Wait for the dip. IMAO
Next time it "dips" it isn't going back up, this is the last bullet ride, but get off when it start to tumble
What kind of dip is realistically expected? -10%, -15, -20?...
I meant crash. I belive it's being pumped up to use as colateral for SHF and banks.
I also like silver and gold. Someone will be around shortly to call me an idiot......
What is your take on nvda?? Same as btc? Artificially pumped??
NVDA is engaged in channel stuffing and off balance sheet BS (selling to related-party entities to pump up financials) similar to Enron accounting fraud x100.
Globalists appear to be targeting Mar-Apr 2025 to crash the market 1929 style to scoop up all retail investor assets. Unknown if the crash can be stopped. Look at Mar-Apr 2025 options activity. You may see some weird stuff just like was happening in Dec-Jan 2019-2020 ahead of Covid BS (for Mar-Apr 2020 SP500 options, esp Puts).
Buffet cashing out is a big sign. The upper class of 1929 did similar that summer. Most of the top families went into cash pre 29 crash. Just luck I guess.
They did the same thing in January 2020. Huge put option positions were being taken on SP500 for 3rd week in March and April 2020. Put/Call ratio spiking for the monthly option expiration date (3rd week of month) is what you are looking for as signal.
Options for 3rd week of March are unreal. Even going down to 180. It feels like those 9/11 options taken out right before the attack.
Yes.
My thoughts as well - but the hype machine is strong. Huang seems like a manufactured personality. As does the hype.
What really peaked my skepticism, some years ago, was when they (Huang) did the moon landing hoax debunk video - ‘proving’ wrong some of the debunking info regarding the lunar surface with their advanced graphics.
