Cures are in the gut
Figured out what strains of bacteria may be causing my epilepsy. Below is a link to a study showing gut bacteria transplants can cure epilepsy.

I've had a hard time sleeping well. 4-5 hours of broken sleep per night. My wife began doing research into the gut biome and figured out that if the biome was in good working order then your body would respond positively. I began drinking half a glass of Kefir and the other half of heavy cream and the first night I slept six uninterrupted hours. Next night I slept seven. There is something about good food that makes us healthy. Get off all sugar and carbs and your body will feel better. Stop drinking liquor because it kills your biome. Sugar equates to inflammation and it also kills the biome. Glad a good outcome has happened for the young lady.
I love kefir. If I drink it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, I don't get hungry for hours. I don't need to lose weight so I've limited how often I drink it or at what time of the day. I'm going to try evening as I too suffer from a sleep disorder. I'm using thc and melatonin gummies. They work well.
Plan your drinking of kefir for about 45 minutes before you lay your head down. It takes me that amount of time for it to begin working. Once I hit the bed I will go to sleep pretty quickly. Also, don't take it every night because, for me, it began making me lethargic. I had a three day weekend and I had some chores lined out, but after drinking kefir for a week, when those days rolled around I didn't feel like getting out of my easy chair or even putting on street clothes. I layed around all day in my shorts. Took me another week to figure out this particular side effect.
Interesting. I wonder if you could get the same benefit with less and avoid the lethargy.
Yes. I cut down to a quarter glass of kefir and a quarter glass of heavy cream every other day and it has cut out the lethargy. Plus I still get the same good sleep. I think it is an individual thing. Everyone has to experiment to see what their sweet spot is. I'm sure some folks could drink a full glass of kefir every day and not have it affect them.
Thanks for the tip, I am going to try it.🥰
Yep, They call the Gut, "The Second Brain" for a reason, and we all have that "gut feeling" about something sometimes..
You can heal your gut with the GAPS diet. There are many diseases this diet can heal including ones in the brain, since it is all connected. I know someone who healed their endometriosis and then got pregnant and had a healthy pregnancy and child.
Awesome.
I wonder if they've identified the gut bacteria that makes people fat yet?
What ever you do please do not take doctor prescribed SSRIs for the seizures. I had a few and was prescribed those drugs and began having suicidal thoughts. Ugh. Try to help her with natural remedies.
My wife's uncle was on SSRIs after he retired and he committed suicide. His wife and family were then denied life insurance money.
Ketogenic diet was prescribed by Doctors before big pharma found out they could make lots of money with their epilepsy drugs.
I’d go full carnivore and stay there if I had epilepsy. No drugs needed.
Intermittent fasting is supposed to help your body turn over all the lining in your gut. Sorry I don't have a link to share ATM but autophagy helps your body clean out all the old stuff because it's not busy digesting food. I've been doing it for 2 months and lost 23 pounds, but I have a better one. I stopped drinking about 10 years ago because it made me feel terrible even with just one drink. At Thanksgiving this year, I had a few glasses of champagne and then the next day 2 beers. Normally this would put me under. But amazingly I had no hangover whatsoever. I'm not going to return to drinking, but just wanted to share how well fasting works. If you work hard to replenish your gut bacteria, give yourself a boost and try to incorporate IF as well.
Awesome; let us know how it works for you, assuming you're going to work on curing it. Good job; you can do it.
I've been doing a lot of reading and research on healing leaky gut to help with my autoimmune disease. So far the changes I've made have been helping, but I still have a long way to go. Sure hope that someday with RFK Jr. at the helm of healing America some kind of cure for autoimmune diseases can be found. Obviously eating healthy is a huge part of it, but there are some foods I can't have anymore because they cause a reaction now. It would be nice not to have such a limited selection of food to choose from. Especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have to miss out on all my favorites :'(
Are you doing a ketogenic or carnivore diet? If not do some research especially good for epilepsy is Ketogenic eating but carnivore is healing as well.
I'm not the author of this article. I'm just passing along info I found.
Dude you totally have to up your game if you are going to post. You post a lot. You are, in fact, quite prolific.
Not making it crystal clear that you are quoting someone, reporting what they were saying, etc, and not you, is a totally newbie level play. No excuse, bro.
20 seconds of your effort would save others so much time and prevent the confusion that has many people now taking time and mental energy out of their day to give you advice and encourage you regarding your issue. Which is not your issue.
Jeepers. Be better.
Noted, Thanks
So... do you have epilepsy? It's not clear, now.
Not sure about seizure-type epilepsy, but there’s an old treatment that cures absence style epilepsy pretty well in full if you’re aware of it.
