Chris Miller could not put the military at the capitol. Just like Trump couldn't. Trump requested and gave permission for 10,000 NG troops, which Chris and Kash Patel who were both present with Trump, have said many times. BUT...the final decision is left up to the Speaker of the House. Nasty Piglosi refused to give the order. Had Chris done so it would have been the SecDef usurping the authority of the Speaker of the House which would have been a Constitutional Crisis.
It would have also been a violation of Posse Comitatus to deploy active duty troops. on American soil.
True. Active duty troops are different than stateside NG.
I don't believe that's correct. According to the link below, the president has full authority over the DC National Guard at all times.
https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/why-posse-comitatus-act-must-be-reformed
Even bigger than that opinion is the fact that a law cannot amend the constitution, and this law clearly changes the balance between the legislative and executive branches of government. The law has never been challenged at the supreme court level, and in fact it's rarely ever been taken to court at all. The last one is just my opinion, but the Brennan Law Center, or at least that lawyer on their site, say it wouldn't have been a violation anyway.
Notice I said “active duty” troops meaning Army, not Army National Guard. Yes, POTUS can call up NG as needed, but I believe requires approval from the governor, or in case of DC, SOTH to activate. Trump provided authorization but Pelosi never pulled the trigger.
^ 100%
Time to prosecute the real insurrection.
it is unraveling by the day now........bout damn time
Am I wrong, or is this a little misleading? My understanding is Trump did not give a directive. He gave an offering to the Mayor of DC and pelosi for national guard help.
This is total BS.
It isn't in Chris Miller's power to do anything like this.
Don't believe everything you read. Many will try to discredit Trump's people. He could not do that anyway or Trump would have told him to. J6 didn't surprise Trump!
Not really sure what to think of this. Miller was slobbering all over Mike Pence so there is that too.
I remember Miller singing praise for Pence in the last day of Trump’s first administration, that is when I knew for sure Miller was actually as dumb as he looked.
Traitors need to go to prison.

I'm suspicious of the purpose and intent behind this item in the report, which is a congressional report.
At the end of the section on Finding 1 (To do with Miller), the report writes:
What do we know?
One, that the 'breach of the Capital' was a DS operation, a false flag to prevent Senate Review of the electoral college votes,
Two, that it was an operation to smear Trump as an insurrectionist and ideally prevent him from running for office again
Three, it was fundamentally piss-weak and the so-called 'breach' was never really a serious security threat, except where DS actors (including fedboys, the DNC police, Ukrainian activists, etc) aggressively instigated violence.
One wonders if the intent of this congressional subcommittee is to perpetuate those falsehoods, that the 'breach of the capital' etc, was a failure of Trump Team (including Miller), that there was ever a serious threat, etc.
THe report speaks of the DoD IG as an "independent watchdog" in QUOTES, ie. a smear to say, the DoD IG is NOT reliable as an independent watchdog.
Look what they did with the tiny infractions of 'breach' on J6. How do you think it would have gone down if Acting Sec Miller had deployed soldiers?
They had a plan: "“we’ve got a plan, and we’ve got it covered.”
Deploying military would NOT have made the entire event safer. Instead, it would have exacerbated the outcome by 100 fold.
This report is attempting to smear Miller. Surprised that MJTruthUltra didn't go into this more.
To respond to OP:
"Hey Frogs, I STILL think Chris Miller is a good guy"
Jeepers. Let's not be dumb tadpoles.
I’m always amazed when people in this movement jump from “he’s on our side” to “TRAITOR! ENEMY!” based off one piece of questionable evidence.
As if we are able to know what’s going on and judge it somberly and accurately from within fog of war.
Lots of people I really respect do this all the time. It’s amazing to watch. Must be a personality type thing, where people who are better at making quick decisions jump to doing what they do with inadequate data - strength turned into a weakness.
Just a reminder that many of these people have or had shady connections. From Tucker, to Elon, to Jeffrey Sachs, to many of these other ppl. Always stay skeptical. They're saying what i believe and think is true, but i never fully trust these ppl. Not when we're living in satanic clown world. I've seen people lie so well the past 8 years that I've realized you always have to be on guard.
You are so wrong.
It isn't in Chris Miller's power to do anything like this.
YES!
Skeptical, yes. However - how could you gather any intel or understand the enemy unless you deal with them, and deal with them a lot, including what seems like friendly terms? Sometimes to the point of seemingly becoming one of them, so they'd trust you at least to an extent, or at least enough to get careless around you and maybe spill things they would not if they knew for a fact that you are NOT one of them?
We are not where we can know yet, and some parts we may never know, but right now I would not be surprised about any reveals, whether it was something like "Pence is one of the good guys after all" or some of the ones we now think are the good guys, or probably the good guys, turning out to not to be.
And since none here (or at least most here, as presumably sites like this may get at least lurkers who are a bit higher in the food chain), are not the ones deciding anything about what to do with something, maybe just keep on observing and speculating but try to keep an open mind?
Just hope that Trump and his team, and whoever maybe are behind them, know what they are doing. They are the ones who will need to act. We mostly just watch, at least when it gets to that level of actions.
My take is the patriots knew the feds and dems were going to pull off a fedsurrection and the Trump team would use it as a trap. If Chris Miller stopped it, there goes the sting. Nothing is certain in the fog of war.
