Why is it that we donβt trust Mexican arrestsβ¦ havenβt we learned that many Mexican police and law enforcement are corrupt and wonβt hold these people? Perhaps something has changed.
i agree and that's why i wasn't overly thrilled about MX sending their troops to the border. i don't trust their troops to not open fire on our troops.
That's the acid test. If they no extradition then it's just Mexican smoke and mirrors. A Broadway play being put on to appease the hungry wolves in our military and office. You already know they aren't buying it.
How long before we get a Trump Truth announcing the missile strikes that took out the leaders of one of these cartels like he just did with Isis in Somalia?
And how would Mexico react? When we do this in the Middle East we never hear of a reaction from the government of the country in which it took place. Will Mexico stay silent or start crying about their sovereignty?
We all know its coming. Its the first thing that popped into my head when the cartels were declared terrorists. This is exactly how Trump treats terrorists.
I think the government of Mexico needs to make a commitment with POTUS Trump to go after them shoulder to shoulder. MANY Mexican politicians from high up to little towns fear for their lives, and the lives of family members, due to the cartel's vicious violence. It's violence we have never seen in the U.S. (yet) Thank God.
The only way to eradicate the cartels once and for all is for the US and Mexico to do it together.
If anyone in power in Mexico actually wants to be in power, then they already know they must rid their nation of the scourge of cartel corruption.
If Sheinbaum and the Mexican government do not support the US when we go after the cartels then I think it would be perfectly safe to say Mexico is harboring terrorists.
And in that regard we would have a whole new dynamic to think about with our relationship with Mexico.
Up until this point, there has been a tremendous amount of head in the sand when it comes to dealing with the cartel problem. They are the number one purveyors of drug, human, and arms trafficking. And those three combined are probably a trillion+ dollar industry.

Absolutely. The United States Navy and the Marine Corps both rise to prominence in this conflict, the new Republics first war.
It really is amazing how little of this Nations history most Americans actually understand. We have about 300 years to understand while Europe has 2000.
When we go about fixing education History and Civics need to come front and center. They need to be taught from 1st grade through 12th to where you basically have a BA equivalent in the subjects before entering a university.
And then you can make school a year round endeavor. A couple 2 week windows in the summer for family and fun. Our kids lose too much of what they learn through a 3 month break. You can easily do the summer online even. But parents need to become more involved. I worked with my kids every evening their entire school career. Id do it after working for 10 or 12 hours.
All of us can learn on our own if we make the commitment to do so!
Just some of my favorite audible books on U.S. History include:
A Patriot's History of the United States
By the Hand of Providence
Legends and Lies: The Patriots
Washington's Immortals
The Founding Father's Guide to the Constitution
A Leap in the Dark (my current listen)
Books that Matter: The Federalist Papers (one of the best)
The Indespendibles
Killing England
Each of these books ranges from 5+ hours to nearly 24 hours. Call it 10 hours each and that's 90 hours of learning, just about the founding of our nation.
Anyone looking to start should grab one that peaks their interest the most and then embrace the journey. It's heroic and there were several times that our new nation hung by a thread. Without God's Will, we would not exist. This was especially true with the Continental Army's escape from New York and the their sneak attack on Christmas night at Trenton, New Jersey.
If he's being held in a Mexican prison, he'll either be broken out, bailed out, or released once his Cartel starts kidnapping and killing cops, pols, judges, and more importantly innocents.
If he's being charged with fentanyl and human trafficking into the U.S., he needs to be remanded to U.S. Federal custody and held at either Leavenworth, Quantico, or the brig at Ft. Bragg, where he'll be protected and watched over by active duty military on a military base.

I think that would kick off a border war with citizens getting involved at that point, and Mexico would lose quite hard.
He's already in his prison uniform. Looks legit! /s
He'll disappear in the shower floor before the end of the year.
Send him to GITMO where he can be executed if you guys don't want to
Now we need to extradite him to make sure he stays caught.

The Barbary Pirates come to mind.
I believe those pirates inspired the author of the U.S. Marine's Anthem!
To the Shores of Tripoli. Marine Corps Hymn.

They could have gotten him the entire time. Smoke and mirrors for now.
