I think this is dangerous: 1). How many times have various companies been hacked and data stolen? 2) How many times have you been in a grocery, department store or hospital and computers were down so you couldn’t pay or get lab results or your medication orders d/t computers being down? 3). Loss of privacy: Big Brother knows everything you buy. As it is now, the government has access to your bank account, any large withdrawl of money you are asked the purpose for reporting to the government by the banks, there is often a 4 day wait period for a large withdrawl greater than $4-5 thousand to “get approval” from the main branch and because they “don’t keep” that much money in the bank. How many of you have been targeted via emails or mail for products you have discussed? With smart phones, smart t.v.s, smart appliances, computer chips in cars, GPS/Google maps, street cameras the government knows where you are, where you are going and where you have been. Conversations are listened to and recorded, sorted and shared by anyone willing to pay for the data or if the government requests, even without a warrant. Why would we want more government control over our finances: we are taxed before we get our paycheck, we are taxed again on real estate we buy or own, we are taxed when we get a permit for home improvement, we are taxed again because we have upgraded our home, we are taxed on the supplies purchased to improve our home, we are taxed on gasoline, non-edible products, through city taxes for school operations (even though we may not have children or school age children and even though that casino approved by cities was to provide income for school functioning, we are still asked to approve levies), we are taxed to support public libraries, mental health services, etc. And then the ultimate tax every April: the IRS taxes us above our payroll taxes because we have made to much money, putting us in another tax bracket. For about 35 years I worked two jobs. I was heavily taxed for overtime those 35 years. DJT’s proposal for no tax on OT helps me not at all. I am incensed to learn from DOGE all of the money laundering done in the name of worthless projects, taxed on my hard work. I hope all involved from the lowliest government worker to the top who were “just doing their job” get indicted, imprisoned and executed if treason is involved. I do not turn the other cheek, because these worthless money sucking individuals did not care whom they were hurting. So if this is done voluntarily that’s one thing, but compulsory, no dice!
