I have to wonder whether or not DOGE would go so far as to put out misinformation in order to draw some culprits out into the open. Just a thought.
It's not untraceable, and DOGE doesn't say it is. That's the headline. DOGE says it's extremely difficult to trace. Also, the destination of the payment is in the data they already have. The reason for the payment is missing from the records, and it will make the accountability harder, but where the money went is in the record.

The doge tweet says that 4.7 trillion worth of stuff had the description as optional and it was “often” left blank. So it wasn’t 4.7 trillion, probably still a big deal but I’m interested in what the actual amount was
