I doubt it was intentional, but the intro you made in the subject line gave the impression that this was possibly original. If it's a meme or such that a friend shared with you, you do NOT need to source that.
(If you found that one the web, tho, then you can credit the sauce.)
It's not actually relevant that your biker friend sent you this, but writing "sent" implies that he created it. Just part of the meme language.
Here's a pointer. If you got this from a friend, then you should write "He shared this with me". This let's the reader know it was shared, and not created.
A small point, but this will improve the readability.

Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) is a local company. My father would drive from Bellingham to Seattle for their main store on Pike street to purchase his hiking goods. Then it became popular and started to provide everything outdoor. Until I finally recognized that they had nothing to do with horse-riding, which just amazed me. What is more outdoor than riding in the forest, man and beast in partnerhip? There is plenty of gear to be bought. But, no, apparently it had to be human-only outdoor traveling. At that point, my interest in their product took a steep nose dive. Humans riding horses were beneath respect or notice. So, I returned the favor.
When i was a kid a long time ago,the local Hell's Angels torched a Holiday Inn in a rival gang dispute ,a girl i grew up with in our neighborhood married the president of that club,they don't fuck around.
As a life long (50 years) biker I condone this idea.
Someone need to send him a x message.
I will bring steaks and beer, all locally made and clean of course. :)
