This video is delicious. Any huge bulk carrier made in China but flagged for a different country than China will now be forced to pay a $1.5M port fee. So, the orders for bulk container ships to be manufactured in China has declined to zero. Now I know the tariffs are seriously hurting the Chinese, yet I knew nothing about this port tax fee. Obviously, President Trump is doing a lot of "behind the scenes" maneuvering that we the people are not yet privy to. I wonder what other "things" he has implemented on our behalf to get a better deal? Soon I foresee China not being able to export any goods from their country, unless they strap it to the backs of mules and send it towards the west, like in olden days. Anyways, this is a very good video and if you have a few moments to view it, it might put a big smile on your face. Cheers.

This is really benefitting Japan and S. Korea. For the US to really benefit from this we need to ramp up our ship building quickly. Although hurting China in the short term appears to be the play to bring them to the negotiating table.
I think they will want to save face when they do. Not sure how that will work out for them. I suspect Trump is well aware of that and not in a generous mood - they FAFO.

That is an interesting point. It seems like Japan's economy has suffered for decades (if there's any truth in the world economic news) and they will need a strong economy if they are going to stand against China without much US military support.
Trump has spiked the WTO in his first term, to prevent losing sovereign maneuver space. It seems that the port costs on top of the tariffs are causing such ravage ... I wonder how much time it will take for the Chinese People to take to the street, and stage a Tienanmen times a million.
After all, civil unrest is the CCP worst nightmare. Interesting how all the responses from the CCP eventually can lead down this path ....

If they would, the question becomes, will Russia back them up? I do not think so, because of the boon of US rapprochement. No China builds small, shipping container ships. Which is what Trypical and Crowley own. (Shipping companies) None of the shipping company's that provide service to the USVI use American made ships. So the people of the USVI are going to get fucked unless they change something

First line of my first response. Chinese built and flaged anywhere. So if a corporation purchased a Chinese ship that's flagged in Indonesia, that company WILL be facing a million dollar "tax". Sucks to be in the shipping business right now, with a bunch of Chinese built carriers.
Sucks more to be reliant on shipping companies, that used profits to buy Chinese ships, which will then pass that cost into the customer
