I've looked around on here for any bipolar treatments or cures and I've only seen vitamin B, Ivermectin and pot being mentioned. Has anyone had any success stories regarding Ivermectin for bipolar or any other options to mention? Doctors and meds haven't worked (I know, imagine my shock).
I'm trying to help my buddy find something to help him control his temper, which is constantly costing him his job. I've used Ashwaghanda for mood balancing myself and it works, but you can only take it for a few months before any side-effects. Magnesium Threonate has been decent in leu of Ashwaghanda, but I would like to recommend more solid options for my friend as I am sure it's much worse for him than me with my own issues.
Thank you in advance!
You're a good friend.
Search recent threads for DMSO. Vigilant Fox on X (rumble too, I think) and Midwestern Doctor on substack just reported on DMSO, which apparently works for lots of things including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Cheap and easy to find and use. There was a recent post here about DMSO as a cancer cure, but near the end the doctor being interviewed has stories about it helping mental issues also.
Myself (for a family member, not for me), I've used nebulized hydrogen peroxide. MMS / chlorine dioxide works on the same principle: they increase oxygenation of the blood, which boosts the blood's effectiveness in cleaning up the body. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy will do that too and is probably better, but not generally an at-home remedy like the others.
Here's the substack by Midwestern doctor. It's a long read, but buried in there somewhere you'll find the connections to mental health. https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-treats-incurable-autoimmune
Midwestern doctor also recommends suramin. A GAW search will give you a few hits on that one, too. You might be able to buy a pill, but I think you mostly get it from drinking pine needle tea.
And I second the advice from others about the carnivore diet with lots of salt and plenty of water.
https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-treats-incurable-autoimmune
Firstly I would absolutely NOT consider marijuana for any psycological problems. You're just adding a myriad of possibilities to an already unstable situation.
What I'd sugguest is to try a diet of only fatty red meats (bacon, ribeye steaks, ground beef with the most fat, lamb, ox or whatever else) and eggs. You can also add salmon for the omegas.
Drink only water, and salt the food liberally with pink salt (obviously not so much that it's not edible, but just saying don't restrict the salt).
Try that for a couple months and see what happens. No coffee, no alcohol. No drugs, no vapes or cigs. The B vitamins and Ivermectin are probably fine. Limit screen time and get plenty sleep. Exercise. Get sun.
I bet his condition improves significantly. This trial will only work if he can stick to it though. Cheating will just cancel it out
Yep. Second this. I’ve heard a lot of interviews from doctors on carnivore where they interview people who went on keto/carnivore for a myriad of reasons. Many were psychological.
Agreed, I don’t remember the doctor, either Dr Ken Berry or Dr Anthony Chaffee, saying carnivore cures most disorders including mental disorders. If someone doesn’t want to do carnivore I’d suggest keto or between keto & carnivore. They say the processed foods cause illness including psychological disorders.
A geriatic homeowner here in AZ, has had a lot of success reversing their client's issues. https://aparadiseforparents.com/hal-cranmer/
Nice to see group homes that care about diet and health.

Agree with no Marijuana. My psychiatrist said that the THC can cause psychotic breaks in us bipolar. I trust my psych doc because he's always trying to help me find natural remedies whereas my PCP loves prescribing.
ETA: My psych doc doesn't know of any natural mood stabilizers. He tries different things like visualizing calm, repeating mantras, etc. But so far only lamotrigine works for me because I have a lot of external factors impacting my mood.
If ashseganda worked, try ginseng. It gives a general wellbeing, but it also enhances anything else you take. B12 is also incredibly important. @winn's advice will cover that aspect. Eating enough actual food like that rather than carbs, and especially junk foods, will sort out mineral deficiencies.
Also, salt stops depression. So yeah eat plenty of it.
Get the book called The Mood Cure. I have recommended it a hundred times I think. What an eye opener. A life-saver.
Also it's a fact that parasites affect mood. You cannot go wrong doing ivermectin horse paste. I have been getting ours from valleyvet.com. durvet brand Duramectin.
Ever look into micro dosing with mushrooms?
Below are a few links that I trust. Plant Therapy is an essential oil company & they have a good blog. Aromatics.com is a good company. I can’t find a search for moods, bipolar etc. Look into aromatherapy, diffusing essential oils.

Look at the ingredients here. If they haven’t used herbs I’d try only one first. This company has good information and very respected. I haven’t ordered from them. They have a helpful blog. https://www.mountainmausremedies.com/bipolar-herbal-tincture
He’s a doctor that’s geared towards natural medicine. I don’t agree with everything he says like nutrition. You might find something helpful. He list essential oils. If you need good companies I can give my suggestions. https://draxe.com/health/manic-depression/

Read about a lot of evidence concerning many different brain disorders and neurological disorders corrected by the lion diet. Bipolar and even MS to name a few. The brain needs animal fat.
So ny son has PTSD and TBI from his military service, the VA lumps the two together and calls it bi polar. He doesn’t have anger issues but as he describes it…his brain is on fire and he can’t stop it. Maybe like a manic episode but it’s caused by a chemical imbalance. The triggers are any type of over stimulation regardless of good or bad stimulation. A lot of the drugs prescribed turned him into a zombie, so he just stopped taking them. He would resort to alcohol but that definitely was not a solution….so now he has been using gummies (Delta 9 or 10) they definitely have helped but he is still looking for something. There is something called a God shot they he has thought about looking in to. Last night he sent me this.. https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2024/01/ibogaine-ptsd.html It looks promising and not sure if it would help your friend but worth looking into. ibogaine
This article may interest you if your son was stationed in the Middle East. It appears one of the drugs they were giving the soldiers caused brain damage that is being misdiagnosed as PTSD: http://www.livescience.com/34588-anti-malarial-causes-ptsd-symptoms.html
Just to expand a little. The God shot https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-trending/the-god-shot-injection-is-being-used-to-fight-ptsd-for-combat-vets/ And shots for bipolar. https://www.healthline.com/health/bipolar/bipolar-shot
Obviously he should be under a doctors care anyway but when one gives up on the doctors can try some natural stuff.
Stay away from sugar and caffeine.
It looks like bipolar disorder is caused by a parasite: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/308233.php.
More info on the parasite:http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2012/03/how-your-cat-is-making-you-crazy/308873. This article talks about schizophrenia but does not mention the other psychological issues it can cause. I believe which form the mental illness takes depends on where the parasite colony builds its nest.
You definitely want to look into anti-parasitical drugs. I don't think Ivermectin is a strong enough drug, but that is research beyond my realm of knowledge, so I could be wrong. Do remember that parasite eggs can live for up to 5 years in the body, so these anti-parasitical need to be regularly taken to kill off the hatchlings. Dr. Lee Merritt recommends doing one round, waiting two days, doing another round, waiting 4 days, doing another round, waiting 6 days....
If I were your friend, I would focus on things that help the body kill parasites -- fasting, intermittent fasting, keto, etc. Also keep in mind that the body needs to purge these dead toxins or else liver/kidney failure will result, so it's probably a good idea to help facilitate expulsion -- saunas, enemas, netty potting, etc.
Good luck!
Edit to add: if parasites are the cause, killing the parasites won't instantly "fix" him. It will take his body years to the repair the damage done by the parasites. As he heals, he'll have progressively less episodes and they'll be progressively less dramatic. But he has to be patient with himself and not get frustrated that healing takes time. .
Bipolar - another made up disease by Psycho-babblers. It used to be called Manic-depression, but that term was too negative and Bipolar seemed more innocuous.
Did you hear ADHD was finally admitted to be another fraud diagnosis so big pharma could sell Adderall and Ritalin. Now there are millions of people hooked other those two drugs over a fake diagnosis.
Stay far away from the Psycho-babblers.
Microdosing psychedelics is being used for many mental illnesses. I heard it works by repairing pathways in the brain. But I would research some more on it. There is a Reddit too dedicated to the subject r/microdosing. RFK JR the new HHS Sec has spoken positive about psychedelics therapeutic effects and wants to conduct research on it. I believe it’s legal in some states and Canada. I would try a dewormer since these issues often are due to parasites. Using 2-3 different types seems to works best for me. I use colloidal silver as it’s able to cross the blood brain barrier which many other anti-parasitics do not. I eat cloves every day to kill the eggs. And then either Black walnut tincture or turpentine for a natural option which I prefer but Fenben and ivermectin works great too. Oh and I started using Zeolites as I found out parasites thrive in heavy metals and this supposedly helps clear that out.
Psychedelics is mentioned a lot in this Shawn Ryan video. I hadn’t heard of it before this. They did mention it’s not legal in the USA.

Lifestyle changes are the only way. Diet: keto or carnivore plus fiber. Have to add prebiotic fiber to heal the gut-brain axis. Exercise - if depressed, do something gentle, like yoga or stretching (look up somatic exercise) and make something (hobby, food, etc.) something that will feel like an accomplishment. When anxious or manic, strenuous exercise - running/sprinting or do weights. Burn off the energy. Talk therapy might also help - I know, it's hard to find a therapist that is not woke, but figuring our what is triggering your negative emotions and learn how to intercept and redirect constructively. (I know triggering is a bad word, but not sure how else to describe it.) Find a "why" that motivates you to change and take small steps until you can run. Celebrate all progress no matter how small, and consider all setbacks as temporary.
Find a healing practitioner that understands how to use glandular supplements and nutrition. Ask them about dietary lithium. It will help with brain electricity and function. Dietary lithium is NOT the same as industrial lithium, lithium batteries or anything else...
This is of course with a good diet...which everyone overlooks or bypasses because it's not exciting enough or something...who knows. Good food costs money and never has a coupon...Start there.
Sometimes even the best diet doesn't address an individual's needs & they need to supplement things to give the body a push in the right direction.
Be careful with DMSO...Powerful stuff that WILL f you up if you don't respect it, understand it or you are not meticulously clean, careful and attentive when using it. Internal use is more critical than topical...mainly because it can greatly amplify the power of pharmaceuticals and other things. Be careful and do your research.
For instance...tattoos have toxic inks that can get pushed deep into your body and bloodstream if you use DSMO....Who would have thought of that unless you did research? (I have zero tats btw, but still...)
