I’m coming up on 50 this year. I’ve never seen so much opportunity for starting a business. If you have a truck and a mower, you could easily start a lawn service in my area and clean house! Combine it with a pressure washing service and you’d be set. It’s wild. I’m seriously starting to think most people just don’t want to work.
My wife works with autistic kids at the school. She cleans houses on weekends at $30 he. She also has a side gig babysitting a teachers autistic son. I could no way keep up with her. So much work.
Yes you are correct. People don't know how to work. And the ones who do manage to show up every day have a certain entitled mindset. Not everyone, but an alarming amount are like that. Couple that with what public education is currently churning out, and the competition is pretty much nonexistent.

'I believe it when I see it' is a very reductive way of looking at the world and more often than not it ends up as people refusing to believe what they're seeing(often to the detriment of their ability to stay alive as they are too busy processing what they're having trouble believing to act).
Believe EVERYTHING, Everything is Possible and Real, remove on a case by case basis as you get more info...
Keeps you from getting caught of guard, makes it easier for you to deal with whatever happens, and ultimately it is a much better and healthier way of dealing with the world/universe.
Flat earth is a roadblock, giving a 'satisfying 'conclusion/answer('see, I was right!!!') that stops people from going further down the road that led them to that road-block.
