So what do you do with them? Homeschool? Private school? Anything but public school is highly impractical for many. It’s like saying don’t buy food from grocery stores, grow and slaughter your own!

I took my girl out early in 7th grade. It was for health reasons, and it was the best decision and choice for us on many levels. Once you learn how to read and write, do math...self directed learning with the guidance of a healthy adult actually works really well.
And I'm floored that anyone in school can MAKE a kid watch a news program.
Controlling children and force-feeding them information and narratives is the core of what school is.
We should be raising kids to avoid all group think instead of just demonizing democrats.

There is a scene in a Simpsons episode where Mrs. Hoover is showing filmstrip after filmstrip. It makes you wonder what is actually going on in schools across the country since the writers felt the need to include that scene. BTW, I think it is the episode where Bart starts a strike between Principal Skinner and Mrs. Krabapple.
As a teacher I refused CNN 10 in my class. I agree no more lies!
Assuming the note is legit, I have a couple of comments. First, looks at though the teacher needs to learn some penmanship skills herself! Second, she needs to learn some grammar skills as well, and third, what in the world is a 6th grade student doing exposed to the crap on a legacy new site like CNN!???

I thank GOD above that my kids are adults now and no longer in what has become a complete and total cesspool. My grandchildren are homeschooled!
