In 1910 most Normal Americans weren’t rich by their standards. Let alone our standards.
He takes a snapshot of 2 skilled careers with their wages already padded by hazard pay.
Probably would have been a better argument taking the wage of the average Factory Line worker, day laborer, or Farmer could expect to earn to make the argument. Considering that is what the bulk of the country would have been involved in at that time.
Americans probably wouldn't have had British Sovereigns as part of their wealth though.
In 1910 ----- normal American didn't have electricity or indoor plumbing.
Medicine was not using antibiotics yet.
They didn't give anti- depressants to kids and trans- drugs in those days,they actually tried to help people.
You could buy heroin at the drug store.
Cocaine was still legal.
My mom, born 1941, spent years with an outhouse bc no indoor plumbing.

No one is suggesting we should live like 1910. The article is saying we should have he same monetary system we had in 1910. And what does that have to do with antibx or infrastructure? If anything I'd wager we would have discovered antibx and built a better infrastructure much faster had we not been using an inefficient fiat (fake) currency. I'd also bet we would have never been involved in WWI or WWII had we not had a foreign owned central bank. Ever wonder why every war was regional until we got the Federal Reserve, all of a sudden we had World Wars.

Lately, I've been looking at the historical aspect of these wars, as it relates to geopolitics. SO MANY things changed in that aspect, all moving towards that one world govt wet dream. SO MANY countries and territories were chopped up - especially in the middle east during this time.
But looking a little deeper... I find it particularly interesting how countless historical sites and artifacts were destroyed or stolen - and then hidden from the global population at large. This continues to this very day in Syria... they're bombing the hell out of a number of important sites of historic value and blaming it on whoever the controlled opposition is ...
Back in 1922, British forces stole the original Epic of Gilgamesh from Iraq. They thought they got the entire story... but they didn't. So US and UK forces went in a stole the remaining chapters along with 60,000 other cuneiform tablets and destroyed countless artifacts, statues and important historical items when they raided a number of museums and sites, during the recent Iraq wars.
The Smithsonian, British Museum, UNESCO, Vatican etc are responsible for the ongoing Theft and concealment of our past. Just look at what they've done with Gobekli Tepe recently - it's allegedly 15,000 years old, but they've destroyed the site erecting "gas station roofing" over it to "protect it"...more likely that they're desperate to protect The Narrative
Recently I've discovered how many HUGE swaths of historical significance/value have been deliberately hidden by flooding the site using dams. Few know that hundreds of temples and sites in Egypt are now under at least 100 feet of water and diving is explicitly forbidden. The same was done in Turkey... deliberately - they found an ancient site that showed engineered steel beams that nobody could explain - and archeologists were forced away from it before it was flooded via dams. India too ...
I always wondered how the world war machine found its way into Egypt... but it did. They REALLY don't want us to know about our past. Recently, ground penetrating radar was used to show structures under the pyramids in Egypt.. using satellite or aerial means. Thankfully there was nothing the narrative keepers Supreme Council of Antiquities or Zahi Hawass could do about it - AND he proceeded not to embrace the discovery, but discount it as being crazy "pseudoscience". There's a clear conspiracy to keep us from knowing our true past.

I think there are some here in the oceans and/or "extra territory" that's been hidden from us.

The "system" has been built layer by layer. At each failure or set back it doesn't destroy all the layers. Just start over , the recent path then is well known and the weakness that caused the setback is also.

a GIANT ? More likely many Giant & innumerable smaller ones. But once rulers/leaders start lying they can never stop out of fear of retribution and loss of power. And for most it's easy to forget how to make a pencil , so complexity breeds collapse and loss of information , creating and incentive to hide that which gives "Leaders" an advantage.

That's all well and good, but doesn't explain the coordinated effort for the past 200 years to hide, obscure and lie about humanity's past.
Explain above my pay grade. But if there were /are repeated cataclysms affecting this little rock , and you knew it. Would you tell everyone or just try to get them to dig you a little hiddy hole to ride it out in ?

Normal Americans had a chance to get rich, but so many of them did not start out that way. My Dad was born that way, in a tenement on the East side of New York, worked from the age of 14, self taught, was the early version of a geek, built radios, joined the Merchant Marines as a ships radio operator. The rest was history. Back then, a college education was not neccesary to work in a trade, you trained as an apprentice, worked day and night. He ended up retiring from CBS after 30 years, was one of the first techs when television began, he was walking down a street and there was a sign out front of the CBS building, he walked in and got the job. I have a photo of him when he applied for his Sea Men's license, I wept, he was so gaunt and skinny, obviously poor and underfed, bought his first home in the early 40's, in Queens, had my grandma and uncle live in the same house to help with mortgage, built grans apartment by hand, plumbing, wiring, and everything, Uncle lived in an attic bedroom they both built. Where oh where are the men like that?

The article triggered my memory of wages vs output of a typical worker and (as MANY of you already know...) the trend of these companies to pay less and less and demand more and more responsibility from you - not even remotely related to your job description.
We've all heard or experienced, "I'm doing 3 people's jobs and not making anything extra..."

Superficial observation [attempting to leave my bias at the door] prices for everything are high: gold, stocks, commodities, cars…[poster cites electricity, etc but here assuming monetary wealth] electricity…for a long time I have believed the only way is to, at the precipice, knowing America will endure, sell everything to the baddies while they have to buy as market makers, then buy it all back at peak fear.

My father was born in 1909 and he certainly was not a child of privilege despite his father being a business owner.
None of my Normal American ancestors were rich by any stretch of the definition.

Surely doesn’t say how we get it back. Repeal income tax (and delete IRS), move back to gold (repeal FDR so people can own…then move back to gold standard; which means deleting the Fed)…none of this is fully discussed.
It’s also about time to recognize population homogeneity gave us the 1910 environment. European-centric citizens allowed us to all move in one direction, today’s welfare state for the 3rd world imports (everyone, am talking everyone) has killed us.
You want to get it back, we need to purge dual-citizens in gov’t hell-bent on our destruction. Somalis as well as Israelis.

It’s been allowed to own gold for decades, just the money isn’t directly/constitutionally exchangeable for it.
There was a 60 year long gold standard/bimetallism debate raging before FDR ever showed up.
Did you read the article? It explicitly says FDR did exactly that. I was extrapolating, more about the gold standard and taking away the Fed.
Funny how no-one wants to talk about immigration policy and the welfare state; which frankly would make all of us natives able to become and live in a rich, and exceptionally safe, country. Repeal 1965 Hart-Celler Act. THAT’S the first step.
I know FDR blocked gold ownership. What I was saying is that the ability to legally own gold was restored later, but FRNs were no longer redeemable in gold at face value (currently, $FRN3300 will get you 1oz, but $FRN20 obviously will not).
The gold standard, imo, is inferior to the constitutional bimetal system, which is likely going to be inferior to what’s coming. I didn’t read the article, but if it said that gold is still illegal to own, its statement is incorrect as well. My comments were only on the metals oversights, as “repeal FDR so people can own” was done decades ago.
As far as fixing immigration, absolutely. Let’s do whatever works best.
You know, it doesn’t say it’s still illegal, just that FDR made it illegal, and stopped there. Kind of shitty “journalism”, but to me that’s the entirety of it. I know people who have gold, doubt they’re criminals, so I did gloss over that.
I was commenting on what was said explicitly in the article, as well as what should have been said, and wasn’t.
I don’t know how anyone could think to “become rich” if we stay the country we are today v. 1910. This guy talks about an entry level engineer making a today’s equivalent $400k+, but the focus today isn’t on engineers. We surely don’t have enough good ones.
Which goes back to my statements on immigration and nationalism.
