Ha! I was just listening to that on the main broadcast and did a double take.
It/Those is big dumb.
A layman should never be able to tell that a USSCJ is so transparently stupid/evil/both.
It’s funny how the dirty commies keep making it about the prompting issue rather than letting it be about the procedural issue that it is. Go eat more feces, you burdensome people. Your brains aren’t rotted enough.
Edit: Or I’ll eat it. Didn’t realize this was a three-case consolidated hearing. Sotomayor is still a downgrade from a brick.
Don't know if folks around here have read any of the dissent papers by Sotomayor or Jackson but they are the writings of a poorly educated 12 year old. That's only a slight exaggeration. If more people understood just how intellectually limited some members of SCOTUS are, they'd be buying pitchforks and torches by the pallet.
Kagan is slightly less stupid but I've read some doozies from her as well. I would not put Barret above Kagan on the intellect scale.
I just assume that Thomas and Alito are high functioning alcoholics because otherwise I don't know how they can handle working with such imbeciles.
Though the dispute comes to the justices through challenges to Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship, the primary issue before the court on Thursday is whether lower-court judges can issue what are known as universal injunctions to block an order nationwide. With a universal injunction, a federal judge (or several in this case) can bar the government from enforcing an executive order – or, in another case, a law or policy – anywhere in the country. The Trump administration, which has been blocked by many such injunctions in recent months, argues that the practice is unconstitutional.
The Trump administration’s filings (which are virtually identical) acknowledge that the challenges to birthright citizenship “raise important constitutional questions with major ramifications for securing the border.” But its focus in the filings is not on whether Trump’s executive order violates the Constitution, but rather on the district courts’ use of universal injunctions.
I do not agree with it being retroactive. Going forward, sure. Retroactive? No. Lots of patriots who are citizens by birthright. They are not all criminals or on the dole.
That they were even willing to hear the case about the 14th Amendment at this time feels extremely significant
Also very odd: Clarence Thomas asking the first question. He usually asks no questions.
I'm not hopeful this will go the way it should...
It’s incredible how audibly stupid Sotomayor and Jackson are.
Kagan is at least, to the untrained legal ear, not a moron.
Jackson - peak retardation

HAHAHA!
Thomas could easily be out for revenge. Alito? Tbd.
Agreed on Barrett. She said some… very interesting things. I don’t know enough law to know exactly what was off about them, but something was.
Did Feig just argue that the states determine national citizenship…?
It's sad that we already know how all of the women will vote on this.
Context and Sauce:
Questions about Thursday’s oral argument in the birthright citizenship dispute? We have (some) answers.
Can't wait to be disappointed.
Expect nothing, and you will not be disappointed.
“…subject to jurisdiction of…”
So simple a 5th grader can explain it.
Sounds like all birth right kids should move to NJ and bankrupt the state or am I hearing this wrong?
Hmmm...
What will these Presidentially Elected 5 Star Generals do today? They won a landslide election last Nov 5.
Everyone remember!?
Does anyone know what the name of Jeremy Feigenbaum’s husband is?
Thanks!!
