I disagree. A big funding bill was coming whether we like it or not. A bill has to pass the house and senate, so its not going to be 100% what we want because we have to deal with asshole republicans too. So we are actually getting a 10x better bill than a Democrat would have promoted and there would be no tax cuts at all, nothing to benefit Americans at all. So just realize it would have been far worse under a democrat or rhino.
Do we know what section that’s in yet? And I’m wondering if it’s a total repeal, or it just sets the taxing at a much higher level, like it used to be before Biden lowered the rate.

As far as I am concerned, the gig economy is basically a "tip" economy. No tax on tips. No tax on gigs.
Many people do gigs to make ends meet, and it is far better than prostituting oneself or getting into the illegal drug trade, etc.
People sometimes get desperate for money, and gigs are a pretty safe way to make some cash quickly.

$600 is the amount they have been using for ages for 1099 reporting (independent contractors) despite inflation since then.
